    摘要: In a connector A for a printed circuit board, the printed circuit board 3 is adapted to be held between and connected to a resilient contact piece 5 of each connection terminal 1, received in a terminal receiving chamber 13 of a connector housing 2, and a top plate portion 8 of the connection terminal 1 disposed in opposed relation to the resilient contact piece 5. A guide projection 16 to which the top plate portion 8 is adapted to be fitted is formed on an end wall 14a of the terminal receiving chamber 13 of the connector housing 2. The deformation of connection terminals attached to a connector housing can be prevented, thereby enabling a smooth, positive connection of the printed circuit board.

In a preferred embodiment, the connectors further include a spring member for biasing these connectors during connection so as to be separated from each other in the insertion direction described above.

    摘要: A double-lock connector includes a connector housing having terminal receiving chambers, metal terminals for being inserted respectively into the terminal receiving chambers, and a terminal retainer connectable to a rear end portion of the connector housing in a two-stage manner, that is, in a provisionally-connected condition and a completely-connected condition, wherein even when the terminal retainer in the provisionally-connected condition, the metal terminal can be smoothly inserted into the connector housing. The double-lock connector of the present invention includes a connector housing and a terminal retainer for being inserted into the connector housing. The connector housing has a plurality of terminal receiving chambers which are separated from one another by a horizontal partition wall and a vertical partition wall. An elastic retaining piece is provided within each of the terminal receiving chambers. A rearwardly-extending tongue-like terminal guide piece is formed on the horizontal partition wall, separating the upper and lower terminal receiving chambers from each other, and is disposed centrally with the width of each terminal receiving chamber. A front end of the terminal guide piece is extended substantially to an inlet end of the connector housing.

    摘要: An electric connector wherein a pair of connector housings can be fitted smoothly with each other at a step in accordance with an inertial locking system and besides can be separated smoothly from each other. The electric connector comprises, in addition to a conventional primary locking mechanism, another locking mechanism, which includes a locking spring member mounted on one of a pair of connector housings and having a pair of contacting pieces at ends of a pair of resilient arms thereof. The second locking mechanism further includes a pair of locking spring arresting portions provided on the other connector housing on loci of the contacting pieces upon fitting or removal of the housings and each having such a diamond-shaped profile that the contacting pieces follow different routes between fitting operation and separating operation of the first and second connector housings to allow smooth fitting in accordance with an inertial locking system and smooth separation with a small force.

According to the invention, the terminal receiving chambers gradually project forwardly so that one of the first metal terminals is displaced to slightly project forward in comparison with an adjacent one of the first metal terminals which is located closer to the central portion of the first connector housing in the transverse direction.
