摘要: A number of capacitive pixels formed in an electroluminescent display panel are selectively charged and discharged by the driving device. The driving device is composed of a charging circuit connected between a power source and the pixels and a discharging circuit connected between the pixels and the ground. Both the charging and discharging circuits include a respective inductive coil that constitutes a series L-C circuit together with the capacitive pixel. Since the pixels are charged and discharged through the series L-C circuit, impulse current otherwise flows in and out of the pixels is suppressed, and thereby radio noises generated by the impulse current are prevented.

摘要: An EL display in which expansion of dielectric breakdown occurring at any one of EL elements is inhibited. Scan electrodes are arranged to receive an offset voltage Vm at those instances other than during application of a scanning voltage thereto in a positive field, while a predetermined voltage is applied to data electrodes to prevent voltage from being applied to EL elements immediately after application of the scan voltage. Accordingly, even where dielectric breakdown occurs at any one of the EL elements due to application of a light emission driving pulse voltage, it is possible to inhibit current flow between the scan electrodes and the data electrodes to thereby inhibit further subsequent dielectric breakdown.

摘要: An electroluminescent display panel having a matrix electrode structure composed of scanning electrodes and data electrodes is driven by supplying scanning voltages either alternately or simultaneously from both sides thereof in order to eliminate uneven luminance along a longitudinal direction of the scanning electrodes. Two scanning electrode driving circuits, each connected to each side of the scanning electrodes, may be used. Since an overall luminance of the electroluminescent display panel is a summation of the luminance obtained by scanning the scanning electrodes from one side and the other side, the luminance along the scanning electrodes becomes uniform by scanning from both sides. The data electrodes may be driven from both sides thereof in the same manner as in the scanning electrodes.

摘要: An Electroluminescent display device is designed not to display residual images due to electric charges stored in electroluminescent pixels or to make them invisible, when the device is turned on again. The stored charges are eliminated at the time a normal display on the panel is turned off at an end of an operation, by scanning pixels at least one time while giving a non-activating data voltage thereto. Alternatively, upon turning on the panel, pixels which were activated in a previous use are all lit at least one time, thereby making the residual images invisible. Thus, the residual images stored in a previous operation are not shown or made invisible when the electroluminescent display device is turned on next time.

摘要: A trim device includes a trim cylinder, a piston, a piston rod and a support member. The piston is slidable inside the trim cylinder, in the axial direction of the trim cylinder. The piston rod is connected with the piston and moves in the axial direction of the trim cylinder following the movement of the piston. The support member is slidable relative to the piston rod and arranged to support the piston rod so that the piston rod's axial center can become tilted with respect to the axial center of the cylinder.

摘要: A tire inflation pressure detecting apparatus includes a second transceiver provided on the body of a vehicle which changes its operation alternately between a second transmitter and a second receiver mode, thereby intermittently transmitting a radio wave. A first transceiver provided on a wheel of the vehicle operates in a first receiver mode to receive the radio wave, thereby charging a charging unit. When the charging unit has been sufficiently charged, the first transceiver changes operation thereof from the first receiver mode to a first transmitter mode, in which the first transceiver first repeatedly transmits an informing signal at predetermined time intervals for a predetermined time period and then transmits a pressure signal. When the informing signal is received by the second transceiver in the second receiver mode, the second transceiver keeps its operation in the second receiver mode until the pressure signal is completely received.

摘要: In a vehicle tire air pressure detection system, a charging electromagnetic wave is transmitted for a predetermined period from a vehicle chassis side and stored as a charge voltage in a transmitter unit attached to a tire wheel. When the charge voltage reaches a predetermined level, a sensor in the transmitter unit detects a tire air pressure and a transmitter/receiver of the transmitter unit transmits a detection data on an electromagnetic wave in the same frequency band as the charging electromagnetic wave after the predetermined period from a time point at which the charge voltage has reached the predetermined level. Thus, interference between the charging electromagnetic wave and the electromagnetic wave of the detection data is prevented.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for reducing memory latency in a software application are disclosed. A disclosed system uses one or more helper threads to prefetch variables for a main thread to reduce performance bottlenecks due to memory latency and/or a cache miss. A performance analysis tool is used to profile the software application's resource usage and identifies areas in the software application experiencing performance bottlenecks. Compiler-runtime instructions are generated into the software application to create and manage the helper thread. The helper thread prefetches data in the identified areas of the software application experiencing performance bottlenecks. A counting mechanism is inserted into the helper thread and a counting mechanism is inserted into the main thread to coordinate the execution of the helper thread with the main thread and to help ensure the prefetched data is not removed from the cache before the main thread is able to take advantage of the prefetched data.
