摘要: A plurality of small loop antenna cells 61, 62 and 63 are magnetically coupled to an antenna coil 8 of a non-contact type data carrier 3. In the plurality of small loop antenna cells, the directions of the magnetic moments of the signals transmitted to the non-contact type data carrier 3 are opposite to each other, the sum of the magnetic moments generated from all the small loop antenna cells 61 to 63 is zero and a conductor forming a short ring pattern 67 is provided collectively for the plurality of small loop antenna cells. Thus, imbalance caused between the small loop antenna cells 61 to 63 can be compensated for by the short ring pattern 67.

摘要: The printer 10 executes an ink end detection process A while a print job is underway and an ink end detection process B when a print job has been completed. In the ink end detection process A, the printer 10 applies a first drive signal to detect that the amount of ink housed in the ink cartridge CA is equal to or less than a prescribed amount. In the ink end detection process B, the printer 10 applies a second drive signal to detect that the amount of ink housed in the ink cartridge CA exceeds the prescribed amount.

摘要: The present invention provides a technique that prevents a shift of a driving waveform due to accumulation of errors in a process of generating the driving waveform to drive driving elements on a print head. The technique of the present invention successively sums up a plurality of gradient data at a preset calculation period to give a result of summation and carries out digital-to-analog (D-A) conversion with regard to only specific upper columns in the result of summation in synchronism with the preset calculation period, so as to generate a driving waveform. Each gradient data represents a local gradient of the driving waveform and is stored in a memory. In the process of generating the driving waveform, the technique of the present invention corrects the result of summation to a preset value under a predetermined condition. One preferable embodiment clears specific lower bits in the result of summation in synchronism with a floor signal. Another preferable embodiment forcibly corrects the result of summation to an upper limit value or a lower limit value of a preset range when the result of summation exceeds the preset range. Such correction effectively cancels the potential effects of cumulative error on the driving waveform.

摘要: The present invention provides a storage device. The storage device includes a reset signal terminal, a clock signal terminal, a non-volatile memory, and a pull down resistance. The reset signal terminal is electrically connected to external equipment at a contact point, for receiving a reset signal. The clock signal terminal is electrically connected to the external equipment at a contact point, for receiving a clock signal. The data signal terminal is electrically connected to the external equipment at a contact point, for sending and receiving a data signal. The pull down resistance is connected to a lower side of electric potentials used by the storage device, at one terminal of the pull down resistance. The controller is initialized in response to the reset signal. The controller also writes to and reads from the non-volatile memory according to the clock signals and the data signals. The data signal includes a signal configured to raise a voltage of the data signal terminal to a higher side of the electric potentials, for instructing to write to the non-volatile memory. The data signal terminal is connected to the other terminal of the pull down resistance.
