    摘要: This invention is concerned with apparatus for automatically measuring misconvergence in the production of color Braun tubes or color display apparatus using color Braun tubes. This misconvergence measuring apparatus includes a photoelectric transducer of split light-sensitive structure which is disposed in front of the phosphor screen of a color Braun tube with a deflection yoke mounted, a deflection source for supplying to the deflection yoke a waveform for deflecting the electron beams of the color Braun tube by a constant unit at a time, and a control unit for detecting the excited bright position on the phosphor screen at which the photoelectric transducer produces the maximum output and for controlling the deflection source, whereby the output of the photoelectric transducer is measured for the respective three primary colors of red R, green G, blue B or color differences G-B, B-R and R-G, and when the maximum value or centroid position of each color or color difference is obtained, the desired amounts of horizontal and vertical misconvergence are automatically measured from the positional differences of horizontal and vertical deflection. Moreover, a maximum output detection circuit for a color Braun tube is provided in which the output waveform from the photoelectric transducer is clearly derived in the form of an approximately normal distribution by use of focus potential change.

A head suspension has a base plate to be attached to a carriage and turned around a spindle of the carriage, a load beam which includes a beam and a hinge, a base end of the beam being supported to the base plate through the hinge and which applies a load onto a head for writing and reading data to and from a disk at a front end side thereof, and a flexure which connects the head to writing and reading wires and supports the head and which is attached to the load beam, where the hinge is set to be relatively thicker than the beam so that the load beam is made thin and the load is increased.

    摘要: A slider supporting apparatus is provided with a flexure formed of a metal plate having spring characteristics. The flexure comprises a gimbals portion including a tongue, a first support portion which supports one longitudinal end of a slider, a second support portion which supports the other end of the slider, and a spring portion composed of a pair of flat springs. Convexes and concaves of each flat spring are alternately formed along a surface direction of the flexure by etching. The flat springs extend to a length which allows the slider to be inserted between the support portions when subjected to a tensile load, and contract to a length such that the slider can be held between the support portions when subjected to no tensile load.

    摘要: A head suspension for a disk drive has a load beam, a base plate, and a recess. The base plate has a thin flange and is capable of improving the attaching accuracy and strength of the head suspension to a carriage arm of the disk drive. The base plate has the flange and a boss. The flange has a contact face to be attached to a contact face of the carriage arm. The boss is inserted into a hole of the carriage arm and plastically deformed therein to fix the base plate to the carriage arm. The load beam has a rigid part and a resilient part and is supported by the base plate, to apply load on a slider arranged at a front end of the load beam. The recess is formed on the base plate along a corner between the flange and the boss, to secure a gap relative to the contact face of the carriage arm.

    摘要: A Braun-tube manufacturing apparatus comprises conveyor for conveying a Braun tube having a support portion arranged to stably support the Braun tube thereon stationary thereto with a faceplate thereof facing down, and a drying furnace disposed at an intermediate position on a conveying path of the conveyor for locally heating an area around the base where the resin is deposited to thereby dry and harden the adhesive resin. Such an apparatus enables not only rapid and reliable drying of the adhesive resin but also reductions in the size and cost of the drying furnace which can be used for drying.

The load beam has a pin insertion hole formed between a proximal portion of the load beam and the slider and an opening formed between a distal portion of the load beam and the slider. A first locating pin is inserted into the pin insertion hole, and a second locating pin into the opening. An extending portion is formed on a distal portion of the flexure. The flexure has a first locating hole in which the first locating pin is inserted and a second locating hole in which the second locating pin is inserted. The second locating hole is formed in the extending portion.
