    摘要: A microactuator mounting section is disposed between a base section and a load beam. A microactuator element formed of a piezoelectric element is contained in an element accommodation portion in a plate portion. The plate portion has a stationary part secured to the base section and a movable part secured to the load beam. The stationary part and the movable part are connected to each other by a pair of arm portions. Each arm portion comprises a first extending portion and a second extending portion. The first extending portion extends longitudinally relative to the load beam from a front end of the stationary part toward the movable part. The second extending portion extends transversely inward relative to the plate portion from the first extending portion so as to be continuous with the movable part.

    摘要: A head suspension for a hard disk drive has a base attached to a carriage of the hard disk drive and is turned around a spindle. A load beam includes a rigid part and a resilient part which applies load onto a head at a front end of the load beam to write and read data to and from a disk arranged in the hard disk drive. The rigid part is supported to the base through the resilient part. A flexure is attached to at least the rigid part of the load beam and has read/write wiring patterns connected to the head. A recessed portion or a through-hole portion is formed in at least one of the load beam and the base for avoiding vibration contact of the flexure.

    摘要: A slider supporting apparatus is provided with a flexure formed of a metal plate having spring characteristics. The flexure comprises a gimbals portion including a tongue, a first support portion which supports one longitudinal end of a slider, a second support portion which supports the other end of the slider, and a spring portion composed of a pair of flat springs. Convexes and concaves of each flat spring are alternately formed along a surface direction of the flexure by etching. The flat springs extend to a length which allows the slider to be inserted between the support portions when subjected to a tensile load, and contract to a length such that the slider can be held between the support portions when subjected to no tensile load.

    摘要: A wiring connecting structure for a piezoelectric element is capable of performing wiring to the piezoelectric element without deteriorating the quality and reliability of the piezoelectric element. The piezoelectric element is arranged between a base and head of an object, to minutely move the head in a sway direction according to deformation that occurs on the piezoelectric element in response to a voltage applied from a terminal to an electrode of the piezoelectric element. The wiring connecting structure includes first and second liquid stoppers arranged between the terminal and the electrode, the second liquid stopper being arranged outside the first liquid stopper. The wiring connecting structure also includes an adhesive part to connect the electrode to the terminal. The adhesive part has a conductive adhesive part defined by the first liquid stopper and a sealing adhesive part defined by the second liquid stopper. The sealing adhesive part seals the first liquid stopper and conductive adhesive part.

    摘要: A head suspension for a hard disk drive has a base attached to a carriage of the hard disk drive and is turned around a spindle. A load beam includes a rigid part and a resilient part which applies load onto a head at a front end of the load beam to write and read data to and from a disk arranged in the hard disk drive. The rigid part is supported to the base through the resilient part. A flexure is attached to at least the rigid part of the load beam and has read/write wiring patterns connected to the head. A recessed portion or a through-hole portion is formed in at least one of the load beam and the base for avoiding vibration contact of the flexure.

The piezoelectric ceramic elements displace the distal end portion of the load beam in a sway direction when supplied with voltage. Each piezoelectric ceramic element is stored in an opening portion in the actuator base. A covering material such as an adhesive agent that fills the space between the peripheral edge portion of the piezoelectric ceramic element and the actuator base forms a cover portion that covers the opposite end faces and the opposite side faces of the ceramic element.

The adhesive layer includes an electrical insulating adhesive agent and a large number of fillers of an insulating material mixed in the adhesive agent. The fillers are interposed between each piezoelectric ceramic element and the actuator base to secure a clearance for electrical insulation between the two.
