摘要: Disclosed herein is a display device in which input data is written to a RAM as current frame data and read from the RAM as preceding frame data. Then, the current frame data and the preceding frame data are added up in a correction circuit and the result is subjected to an overdriving processing. After this, the processed (over-driven) data is assumed as current frame corrected data, which is then written to the RAM. The written corrected data is read from the RAM and subjected to a double-speed driving processing.

摘要: In a display apparatus of a hold type represented by a TFT liquid crystal display, blurring of dynamic picture when the dynamic picture is displayed is improved. One frame is divided into dark fields and light fields. A dark brightness gradation voltage approaching to display of black as near as possible is generated in the dark fields and a light brightness gradation voltage for compensating the brightness reduced by the dark fields is generated in the light fields. At this time, low gradation voltages (V0P to V20P) or high gradation voltages (V43P to V63P) in the dark or light brightness gradation voltages are set to the same potential.

摘要: In RGB time division drives, there is capacitor coupling due to the effects of fluctuation in the drain lines, and thus, the image quality deteriorates (lateral smearing), so that the display brightness becomes different from the desired display brightness due to delay in the convergence of the fluctuation of the common potential, and thus, it is a goal to prevent the image quality from deteriorating (lateral smearing). In RGB time division drives, the order of time division is switched for each frame, or in the direction of the horizontal lines.

摘要: A capacitive touch panel includes a scanning circuit portion for inputting a drive voltage to each scanning electrode sequentially in 1st to n-th sub detection periods, a capacitance detection circuit portion for detecting a capacitance detection signal of the each detecting electrode in the 1st to n-th groups, and a control circuit portion for calculating a capacitance detection signal change amount from the capacitance detection signals of a plurality of the detecting electrodes detected by the capacitance detection circuit portion, and calculating coordinates of a touch position based on the capacitance detection signal change amounts. The control circuit portion determines, in consecutive sub detection periods, the capacitance detection signal change amount of the each detecting electrode in two groups from which the capacitance detection signals are detected in the consecutive sub detection periods, based on the capacitance detection signals consecutively detected from at least one same detecting electrode.

摘要: A display device having an electrostatic capacity touch panel includes: X electrodes XP and Y electrodes YP which intersect each other via a first insulating layer; and a plurality of Z electrodes disposed in a floating state via a second insulating layer. For the second insulating layer, a material such as an elastic insulating material which changes in thickness by pressing of touch is used. The Z electrode is disposed so as to overlap both one of the X electrodes and one of the Y electrodes. A pad part of the X electrode has a largest area in the vicinity of a thin line part of the X electrode, and a smallest area in the vicinity of the thin line part of the adjacent X electrode. An area of the pad part is reduced as the pad part departs from the thin line part of the X electrode.
