    摘要: An optical device and a wavelength selector switch are provided. The optical device includes a diffraction grating having first and second planes and first and second reflecting planes located on a first plane side of the diffraction grating. In the optical device, light input to the second plane of the diffraction grating is diffracted, and then an optical path of the diffracted light is re-input to the first plane of the diffraction grating newly via the first and the second reflecting planes.

    摘要: A wavelength selective switch of the present invention angularly disperses lights output from a plurality of input ports of an input and output optical system, to an X-direction, according to wavelength, by a diffraction grating to supply the dispersed lights to a condenser lens. The condenser lens is arranged so that a center axis thereof is shifted to the X-direction relative to an axis passing through the center of spreading angle to the X-direction of output beams from the diffraction grating, and accordingly, at a non-operating time, the light of each wavelength passed through the condenser lens is incident on each movable mirror being tilted by an offset angle corresponding to a shift amount of the condenser lens. As a result, it becomes possible to block the connection between an input side and an output side at the non-operating time without degrading the performance at an operating time.

    摘要: A mirror controller of an optical switch comprises a signal generator (10, 82, 83) for passing the optical signal on the same light path as the one for optical communication using the optical switch, and an image analyzer (15, 16, 81) detecting the optical signal as the light scattered by at least one of tilt mirrors (111, 123) and an output collimator array (14). The image analyzer detects the position of the light beam image as a control position (121, 141, 85) based on the scattered light, and controls the tilt mirrors in such a manner that the detected control position coincides with the predetermined desired target position (122, 142, 84, 86) on at least one of the tilt mirrors and the output collimator array. The mirror controller can realize the connection test of the optical signal between input and output with high accuracy and reliability.

    摘要: Disclosed is a photonic switch that includes a plurality of optical-path switching means having movable light reflecting portions that guide light from each of a plurality of input ports to any output port among a plurality of output ports. Each of the optical-path switching means is made to produce a specific loss so as to reduce path-to-path variations in loss along the paths from the input to the output ports. Specifically, loss along a path is the total of loss based upon optical path length and loss produced by the optical-path switching means. A specific loss is produced by each of the optical-path switching means in such a manner that total loss is equalized from path to path.
