    摘要: A plurality of cylindrical-shaped or spherical-shaped magnets each including the N-pole and the S-pole formed at a predetermined angle interval are rotatably placed between upper case and lower case, and a plurality of magnetic detection elements are disposed opposite to the magnets at a predetermined gap. When a plurality of small magnets having a diameter of about 2 to 3 mm are rotated by the finger, from the rotation direction and the rotation angle of the magnets the operation direction and the operation amount of the finger can be detected. Therefore, it is possible to obtain an input device capable of making an entire input device with a low dimension so as to make the device thin, and capable of reliable operation.

A rotary operation portion 2 includes ring magnets 4 securely attached at opposite ends of a roller 3, each ring magnet 4 being magnetized with the S- and N-poles alternating at a predetermined angular pitch, and magnetic sensing elements 13 and stationary magnets 7 disposed so as to face their respective ring magnets 4. The rotary operation portion 2 is covered by an operation plate 16 having formed at its center a roller insertion hole 16a for projecting a part of the outer circumferential surface of the roller 3. The rotation of the roller 3 is magnetically sensed, and switches 9 and 11 are provided so as to be turned “ON”/“OFF” in accordance with operations of pressing the roller 3 and rocking the operation plate 16 in the “front”, “back”, “left”, and “right” directions.

    摘要: An operation type electronic component which is used for a remote controller of various electronic equipment and portable electronic equipment and is equipped with a push switch driven by the rotating and push operation of an operation knob. The component can be reduced in size and grounded by a simple construction and can be grounded by merely fitting. A dome-like movable contact (23E) is put on fixed contacts (23A, 23B) disposed on a fitting substrate (22) to form a switch unit (23). An L-shaped actuator is interposed between this switch unit (23) and a driving body (21) so that the driving body (21) returns to the original state after the push operation of an operation knob (6) by the elastic operation force of the dome-like movable contact point (23E)of the switch unit (23). Further, a metal plate (25) equipped integrally with a live current portion (10) and a conductor of an earth portion (26) is fixed by insert-molding to the resin fitting substrate (22) and is electrically isolated so as to interpose a lightning conductor portion (26A) of the earth portion (26) between the live current portion (10) and the operation knob (6). According to this constitution, the number of constituent components can be reduced, the overall size can be reduced, too, and static electricity occurring in the operation knob (6) can be always conducted to the earth.
