    摘要: An appliance has an operating unit with an actuating element for triggering a pre-determined action. The actuating element is mechanically actuatable by force of a user. The actuating element is preferably a mechanically actuatable switch and/or key element. A touch-sensitive sensor is built into the actuating element, for detecting skin contact occurring as a result of the exertion of force for the mechanical actuation of the actuating element. The appliance is also embodied in such a way that, as a requirement for triggering the pre-determined actions, it is checked whether the actuating element is actuated and skin contact is detected by the touch-sensitive sensor. The appliance prevents defective actuations by associating touch-sensitive sensor technology with the mechanically actuatable actuating element. This ensures that mechanical actuation without skin contact does trigger the pre-determined action.

    摘要: For a remote controller that is mainly used for simply and surely controlling various electronic devices, when predetermined pressing force is imposed on an operating body, a predetermined set value is stored in a storing section when a detection value of a pressure-sensitive conducting contact exceeds a predetermined resistance value and the detected value is stored in the storing section when the detection value of the contact point is within the range of the predetermined resistance value. Since a remote control signal is generated using a ratio of a value stored in the storing section and a value obtained when the remote controller is operated, an electronic device can be controlled without being influenced by variation of elements constituting the remote controller.

    摘要: Provided is an input device which has excellent operability by not requiring a finger to be released from a key during operation requiring the finger to shift and preventing the finger from touching a plurality of keys at the same time. A key (12) surrounding a selection key (18) is arranged. On a board (41), four metal domes (14) are arranged at positions corresponding to the four positions, i.e., upper, lower, right and left positions, of the key (12). A touch sensor (13) is arranged on an upper layer above the metal dome (14). The touch sensor (13) is brought into contact with a touch sensor presser (53), and an electrical value (for instance, a resistance value) is changed corresponding to shift of the finger on the key (12). When the key (12) is strongly pressed down, the top of the metal dome (14) is pressed into the substrate (41) side and electricity is carried between contact points (14a, 14b).

    摘要: An input device contains a resistance-element series formed by series-connected resistance elements, low resistors opposing the resistance elements, an operating object which brings one of the low resistors into contact with one of the resistance elements and changes the contact area therebetween, an output point at the midpoint between resistance elements, and a controller. When the resistance element and low resistor are not in contact, the input device enters a sleep mode in which the resistance-element series or low resistors have a high potential and the other a low potential. In the sleep mode, determination that the operating object has been operated occurs when a change in voltage or current on the low potential side is detected. A voltage is applied across ends of the resistance-element series, and the device enters a detection mode in which the output is based on the contact area change.
