    摘要： An aerosol container includes a main body portion that is constructed and arranged to withstand aerosol pressurization within a range that is about 90-180 psig and a threaded finish portion that is unitary with the main body portion. The threaded finish portion has at least one helical thread, a support ledge beneath the helical thread and a secondary flange that is positioned beneath the support ledge. The secondary flange has an outer circumference that is noncircular in at least one location, whereby it may be engaged during a capping operation to prevent rotation of the container during capping. A method of making an aerosol container in which a preform is capped before the blow molding process is also disclosed.

    摘要： A plastic aerosol container includes a main body portion and a base portion, both of which are fabricated from a plastic material such as polyethylene terephthalate. The main body portion has a longitudinal axis and a maximum transverse diameter. The base portion is unitary with the main body portion and has a plurality of feet that are adapted to support the container on a horizontal surface. A first rib that is positioned between adjacent feet preferably has a substantially constant radius of curvature that has a ratio with respect to the maximum transverse diameter that is substantially within a range of about 0.20 to about 1.0. The main body portion and the base portion define an interior space that is pressurized with an aerosol mixture at a pressure that is substantially within a range of about 50 psi to about 300 psi.

    摘要： A plastic aerosol container includes a plastic base portion and a plastic main body portion that is unitary with the plastic base portion and defines a longitudinal axis. The base portion and the main body portion together define an internal space within the container that is pressurized with an aerosol mixture at a pressure that is substantially within a range of about 50 psi to about 300 psi at room temperature. The main body portion has an upper portion that has a first maximum transverse diameter, a lower portion that has a second maximum transverse diameter and an intermediate portion that has a third maximum transverse diameter. The third minimum transverse diameter is less than both the first and second maximum transverse diameters, whereby the main body portion has a narrowed waist portion that provides reinforcement against deformation as a result of pressurization within the internal space of the container. The narrowed waist portion preferably has a substantially constant radius of curvature.

The gripping recess includes a plurality of horizontal indentations, each of which is sized to receive a finger of a consumer when the plastic container is being gripped by the consumer.

    摘要： Disclosed herein is a container and handle assembly comprising a container having a neck, and handle attachment formed separately from the container and assembled thereto. The attachment includes a handle extending to a ring adapted to fit over and secure with the container neck for mounting the handle attachment to the container. The handle attachment ring includes internal threads along the inner wall complementary with external threads positioned on a shoulder of the neck. The ring also includes notches for receiving radially extending projections on the neck shoulder to prevent unthreading of the handle attachment from the container.
