摘要:
In order to prevent noise effects from occurring in a detection signal line or in a control signal line, which are small signal lines of a camera, and which are wired close and/or parallel to drive signal lines, which carry a large current, a low impedance line is provided between the drive signal line and the detection signal line and/or the control signal line. The low impedance line can be, for example, a ground line or a power source line. The drive signal line can be, for example, a line that supplies relatively high driving current to a shutter mechanism, to a vibration prevention system (which drives a vibration prevention lens in a direction substantially perpendicular to an optical axis of the lens system), and/or to an auto focus system (which drives a focus lens in a direction substantially parallel to the lens system optical axis). The detection signal lines and the control signal lines can carry detection or control signals for the vibration prevention system or the auto focus system, for example.

A vibration preventing camera includes a vibration amount detecting unit for detecting the amount of vibration, a vibration correcting unit for correcting vibration, a light measuring unit for measuring the light value at a subject, and a control unit for controlling the vibration correcting unit in consonance with a detection signal that is obtained by the light measuring unit and the vibration detecting unit, and for activating the vibration detecting unit after the length of exposure is determined by the light value at the subject that is obtained by the light measuring unit. More preferably, a vibration preventing camera further includes a self-timer unit, and when the self-timer unit is set for an exposure, the vibration detecting unit is activated after the timing count down for the self-timer unit begins.

A camera is provided which has a vibration detection unit that detects vibration, a photographic focal length detection unit which detects the focal length of the photographic optical system, and a distance-measurement unit that measures the distance to the object being photographed. The vibration compensation device employs drive motors as a vibration compensation unit. The drive motors have a start up time which is at least as fast as the acceleration of a vibration having roughly a sine wave shape with a frequency of 10 Hz and a maximum velocity of 7.5 mm/sec. Such a motor is able to reach the maximum velocity of the vibration in under 25 ms. Additionally, a correct compensating coefficient calculation unit is provided which, from the output of the photographic focal length detection unit and the output of the distance-measurement unit, calculates a correct compensation coefficient for determining how much to change the optical axis of the photographic optical system relative to the output of the vibration detection unit. The vibration compensation device compensates for vibrations by driving the motor to change the optical axis of the photographic optical system of the camera in response to the compensation coefficient and the output of the vibration detection unit.

An apparatus to detect the amount and direction of rotary motion for use in a vibration compensation system in an optical camera. An indicator disk is provided around the output shaft of a motor which actuates a compensation lens to compensate for vibrations to the camera. The periphery of the indicator disk is provided with a series of holes. A pair of photodetectors, are arranged on the periphery of the disk so as to detect the holes passing thereunder. The two photodetectors are separated by a distance equal to 3/4 of the distance between two holes. By comparing the pattern of signals emitted by the photodetectors the direction of rotation of the indicator disk can be determined. Further, the pulses in the output of either photodetector can be counted to determine the amount of movement. The actual direction and amount of movement as calculated is provided to a vibration compensation circuit as feedback for use in controlling the compensation lens.

A camera having improvements in (a) the placement of anti-vibration sensors, (b) the connection between components of an anti-vibration mechanism, (c) the connection between the anti-vibration mechanism and external testing devices and (d) the connection of the camera to a tripod. The camera body has first and second ends and a photographic lens which is positioned on the camera body between the first end and the second end. A battery compartment, first and second anti-vibrations sensors and a main capacitor are all positioned in the first end of the camera body. The first anti-vibration sensor is positioned between the battery compartment and the photographic lens. The first and second anti-vibration sensors reside on the same sensor card and the sensor card has a connector mounted thereon. An anti-vibration CPU resides on a separate, flexible printed circuit card and is connected to the anti-vibration sensors by inserting a potion of the flexible printed circuit card into the connector on the sensor card. Communication terminals are provided inside the camera for allowing external testing equipment to communicate with the anti-vibration sensors and the anti-vibration CPU. Moreover, the shutter release button is on the top of the camera and a tripod is fixed to the bosom of the camera so that depression forces from the pressing of the release switch are transferred to the tripod and do not cause the camera to vibrate.

A vibration compensation mode selection apparatus and associated visual display for a camera which allows a photographer to enable or disable a vibration compensation unit while receiving visual feedback regarding the operation state of the vibration compensation unit and information regarding the vibrations detected within the camera. A vibration detection unit is provided to output a signal indicating the amount and direction of vibrations experienced by the camera. A vibration compensation unit drives the vibration compensation lens perpendicular to the optical axis of a photographic lens system to correct for the vibrations detected by the vibration detection unit. A button is provided on the front face of the camera to enable the photographer to disable the vibration compensation unit by pressing the button. A display unit is provided to indicate to the photographer whether the vibration compensation system has been enabled or disabled. For example, the display unit can be configured to flash at a high frequency when the vibration compensation unit has been disabled. Further, the display unit can be configured to provide information regarding the severity of the vibrations detected within the camera. Specifically, the display unit can be configured to steadily illuminate to indicate vibrations which can be corrected by the vibration compensation system, and at a slow rate to indicate vibrations which are outside the correctable range of the vibration compensation unit. The display unit can either be provided within the viewfinder or on the body of the camera in a location easily visible by the photographer.

A camera having an anti-vibration sensor positioned so as to reduce the effect of electrically generated noise on the anti-vibration sensor. The camera includes a camera body having first, second and third portions, the second portion for coupling a photographic lens barrel to the camera body and being between the first and third portions. An anti-vibration sensor is positioned on the first portion of the camera body. An electrical noise generating source is positioned on the third portion of the camera body. In this manner, the photographic lens barrel acts as a shielding member when the photographic lens barrel is coupled to the second portion of the camera body. The present invention also describes a camera which includes a camera body, a first anti-vibration sensor which is coupled to the camera body and detects the amount of vibration of the camera in a first direction, and a second anti-vibration sensor which is coupled to the camera body and detects the amount of vibration of the camera in a second direction, the second direction being different from the first direction. The camera includes a strobe and a strobe capacitor which delivers electric charge to the strobe. Wiring electrically connects the strobe to the strobe capacitor and generates electric noise when current is passing through the wiring, the effect of the electric noise being greater in the second direction then in the first direction and the distance from the second anti-vibration sensor to the wiring being longer than the distance from the first anti-vibration sensor to the wiring.

A motor speed control device, preferably for use in a camera, controls a motor to rotate at a constant speed in accordance with a pulsed signal output from a motor speed detector, such as a photointerrupter. To overcome the control problems that occur when the motor abnormally stops rotating, preventing generation of pulsed, the motor speed control device includes a timer that measures elapsed time from a most recent pulse. When the elapsed time exceeds a predetermined value, the motor speed control device accelerates the motor so that control of the motor at a constant speed can continue.
