    摘要: Disclosed are a phthalocyanine near infrared absorbing material having a phthalocyanine skeleton whose benzene rings contain a silyl group as a bulky substituent and an optical information recording medium containing the material. The phthalocyanine near infrared absorbing material has excellent association-preventing property and light resistance and exhibits a high index of refraction at a wave length of 770-830 nm and high stability, an optical information recording medium (CD-R recording medium) containing the phthalocyanine has high reflectance, excellent storage stability and excellent reproduction stability. The recording medium also shows strong light absorptivity and light reflectivity in a wave length of 630-700 nm and, thus, is applicable for the pick up with a semiconductor laser of 630-700 nm, permitting such high density recording as to provide 1.6-1.7 times as high recording density as that attained by currently employed recording media which are adapted to 780-810 nm.

    摘要: An optical information recording medium which records at shorter laser wavelengths and has excellent light resistance and archival stability includes a supporting substrate and a recording layer coated on the substrate. The recording layer includes a metal chelated azo compound, the azo compound having the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X is NR.sup.6 group, oxygen or sulphur, wherein R.sup.6 is hydrogen or alkyl; Y is hydroxy, carboxy, or carbamoyl; each of R.sup.1 -R.sup.5 is independently hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl, substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl, alkoxy, amino, halogen, nitro, cyano, trifluoromethyl, or carboxy, with the proviso that all of R.sup.1 -R.sup.5 are not simultaneously hydrogen; and the metal is a metal ion of Groups 3-12 of the Periodic Table.

    摘要: In an optical recording method and apparatus for an optical storage medium, a recording pulse pattern having a sequence of multiple pulses is used to record one of plural kinds of marks with different lengths on the storage medium through a variable-linear-velocity recording process or a constant-angular-velocity recording process. Two or more discrete write powers are individually allocated to the respective pulses of the recording pulse pattern. Each of the write powers, allocated to the respective pulses of the recording pulse pattern, is linearly varied in proportion with a change of one of the recording linear velocity and a recording position of the storage medium. The resulting recording pulse pattern is supplied to a pickup, and the pickup emits a light beam to the storage medium in accordance with the recording pulse pattern having the linearly varied write powers allocated to the respective pulses, so that one of the plural kinds of marks is recorded on the storage medium.
