Abstract: Transferring context data from a first network functional set, NFS, to another. A method and apparatuses provide for transferring restoration context data from a first NFS toward a second NFS. This method includes receiving, at the first NFS from a context transfer requester, a transfer request indicating transfer of context data toward the second NFS; transmitting, from the first NFS toward a network repository function, NRF, a context transfer request indicating transfer of context data from the first NFS to the second NFS; transmitting, from the NRF toward the first NFS, a context transfer response indicating a status of the first NFS; notifying, from the NRF toward a network function, NF, service consumer, of transfer information related to the transfer of context data from the first NFS to the second NFS; transferring, from the first NFS toward the second NFS, restoration context data; and storing the restoration context data.

Abstract: The present invention faces the issues of re-selection of another NF Service instance (103, 201) for a subsequent request (S-520, S-535) with a same data consistency (Consistency 1) as a previously selected NF Service instance (101). To solve this issue, the present invention provides for identifying at configuration, based on the deployment and on the Storage solution for the Session/context data, which instances (101, 103, 201) of the same service type have access with strong consistency to the same data, and provide this information to the consumer (40), so it is allowed to prioritize selection of an alternative NF service instance that supports strong consistency, whenever possible.

Abstract: A service controller receives an operation request for a service for a consumer node of a communication network, the operation request including a context identifier referring to a context related to the operation request. The service controller forwards the operation request to a first service instance set being identified by the service controller as handling the context related to the operation request. Responsive to determining that the first service instance set is unreachable or unavailable, the service controller selects a second service instance set as a candidate to handle the context related to the operation request. The operation request for the service is then forwarded to the second service instance set.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method having at least one of the steps of: sending requests for data to at least one web site hosted by at least one server; receiving responses corresponding to the requests for data from the at least one web site; compiling, for each of the at least one web site, data location statistics including a set of data locations identified in the responses from the web site; and selecting, for each of the at least one web site, a smaller subset of at least one data location from the identified set of data locations to act as candidate data location(s) for pre-loading data for the network client; and transferring, for each of the at least one web site, the smaller subset of at least one data location acting as candidate data location(s) to a pre-loading unit, for enabling pre-loading of data based on the candidate data location(s).

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for handling congestion performed in a source node of a communication network. The communication network provides a communication path for traffic streams between the source node and a destination node, wherein the source node multiplexes two or more different types of traffic streams onto a single connection. The method comprises detecting congestion in the communication network along the communication path, determining whether there is a traffic differentiation in a network node along the communication path, and applying a connection-level congestion control for the case of determining that there is no network node performing traffic differentiation. The disclosure also relates to a source node, computer program and computer program product.

Abstract: A technique for performing a context transfer from a first session management entity to a second session management entity in a mobile communication system is provided, wherein the context transfer concerns a data session associated with a User Equipment, UE, wherein the data session is handled by the first session management entity via a first gateway entity and wherein, after the context transfer, the data session is to be handled by the second session management entity via a second gateway entity. A method implementation of the technique is performed by the second session management entity and comprises, while the UE is in an inactive state, triggering (S302) sending, to the second gateway entity, a session establishment request to establish a new session handling the data session via the second gateway entity, and triggering (S304) providing, to the second gateway entity, an old Internet Protocol, IP, address assigned to the UE as part of an old session handling the data session via the first gateway entity, requesting the second gateway entity to assign the old IP address to the UE as part of the new session, besides a new IP address assigned to the UE as part of the new session, and, when the UE enters an active state from the inactive state, triggering (S306) providing the new IP address to the UE.
