摘要: Exemplary embodiments include a method for managing user authentication credentials in relation to different types of core networks, CNs. The exemplary methods can include receiving (1010) a request to authenticate a user for access via a first CN, and determining (1020) that user authentication credentials are unavailable in relation to the first CN. The exemplary methods can also include sending (1030), to a translator function associated with a second CN that is different than the first CN, a request to provide user authentication credentials associated with the first CN. The exemplary methods can also include receiving (1040) user authentication credentials associated with the first CN and, based on the received user authentication credentials, authenticating (1050) the user for access via the first CN. Embodiments also include data management nodes configured to perform the exemplary methods, as well as complementary methods and nodes configured to perform such methods.

摘要: A method of and a device for operating a service discovery and selection function in a telecommunications system, wherein the service discovery and selection function registers a service profile of a service provided by at least one service producer of the telecommunications system. The service profile among others includes consistency group information and proximity information. The consistency group information identifies instances of the service sharing a same state and the proximity information identifies deployment of the instances in the telecommunications system. The service discovery and selection function, from the service profile, based on service selection criteria, selects a single service instance of the service for a service consumer of the telecommunications system requesting the service, and identifies the selected service instance to the service consumer.

摘要: The present invention faces the issues of re-selection of another NF Service instance (103, 201) for a subsequent request (S-520, S-535) with a same data consistency (Consistency 1) as a previously selected NF Service instance (101). To solve this issue, the present invention provides for identifying at configuration, based on the deployment and on the Storage solution for the Session/context data, which instances (101, 103, 201) of the same service type have access with strong consistency to the same data, and provide this information to the consumer (40), so it is allowed to prioritize selection of an alternative NF service instance that supports strong consistency, whenever possible.

摘要: A service controller receives an operation request for a service for a consumer node of a communication network, the operation request including a context identifier referring to a context related to the operation request. The service controller forwards the operation request to a first service instance set being identified by the service controller as handling the context related to the operation request. Responsive to determining that the first service instance set is unreachable or unavailable, the service controller selects a second service instance set as a candidate to handle the context related to the operation request. The operation request for the service is then forwarded to the second service instance set.

The first front-end node operates in a communications network comprising a pool of front-end nodes for providing access to a database. The pool of front-end nodes includes the first front-end node. The first front-end node receives, from a load balancer node, a first request for data from the database, from a client node. The first front-end node provides, to the client node, a first response to the received first request, the first response including a first indication indicating that the first front-end node is a preferred node for providing a subsequent response to a subsequent request for data from the client node. The subsequent response is allowed to originate from another front-end node in the pool of front-end nodes, different than the preferred node.
