摘要: A device of a service coordinating entity includes communications circuitry to communicate with a plurality of access networks via a corresponding plurality of network function virtualization (NFV) instances, processing circuitry, and a memory device. The processing circuitry is to perform operations to monitor stored performance metrics for the plurality of NFV instances. Each of the NFV instances is instantiated by a corresponding scheduler of a plurality of schedulers on a virtualization infrastructure of the service coordinating entity. A plurality of stored threshold metrics is retrieved, indicating a desired level for each of the plurality of performance metrics. A threshold condition is detected for at least one of the performance metrics for an NF V instance of the plurality of NFV instances, based on the retrieved plurality of threshold metrics. A hardware resource used by the NFV instance to communicate with an access network is adjusted based on the detected threshold condition.

摘要: A distributed network performance management system and method that distributes a large portion of the network performance management to wireless client devices connected to the network. Rather than rely on a central server to perform the bulk of network performance management, a distributed network performance management system offloads much of the work of service quality testing, reporting, and troubleshooting to wireless client devices that are connected to the network. It utilizes spare computing power and storage space on the wireless client devices to reduce the cloud operation costs of the system including such things as bandwidth requirements, data storage requirements, and data processing requirements.

摘要: The Distributed Software Defined Network (dSDN) disclosed herein is an end-to-end architecture that enables secure and flexible programmability across a network with full lifecycle management of services and infrastructure applications (fxDeviceApp). The dSDN also harmonizes application deployment across the network independent of the hardware vendor. As a result, the dSDN simplifies the network deployment lifecycle from concept to design to implementation to decommissioning.

摘要: Provided is an infrastructure for enforcing target service level parameters in a network. In one example, a network service level agreement (SLA) registry obtains one or more input service level parameters for at least one service offered by an application. Based on the one or more input service level parameters, the network SLA registry provides one or more target service level parameters to a plurality of network controllers. Each network controller of the plurality of network controllers is configured to enforce the one or more target service level parameters in a respective network domain configured to carry network traffic associated with the application.

The techniques include an SLO platform performing: storing a first SLO definition of a first SLO including a first error budget for a first metric associated with a first service; storing a second SLO definition of a second SLO including a second error budget for a second metric associated with a second service; obtaining first telemetry data from a first data source associated with the first service; obtaining second telemetry data from a second data source associated with the second service; monitoring the first SLO at least by computing the first metric based on the first telemetry data and evaluating the first metric against the first error budget; and monitoring the second SLO at least by computing the second metric based on the second telemetry data and evaluating the second metric against the second error budget.

摘要: According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a system is provided which allows a network service provider to address providing service assurances to comply with each service level agreement (SLA) agreed to with customers. A translation system accesses one or more network service agreements and parses the one or more network service agreements into a processing format. The system then determines which network services are specified by the network service agreement, and determines service level agreements for each service. The translation system then generates one or more service level objectives for each service level agreement and one or more service level values for each service level objective. One or more metrics are then selected to be associated with each value to be measured to determine compliance with the service level agreement. The system then stores each of the service level agreements, objectives, values and metrics as objects.

摘要: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, determining a service requirement of a user device, and obtaining at a network edge, via a standard interface, first network information of a wireline network and second network information of a wireless network. The first network information and the second network information are provided to a first microservice at the network edge. The first microservice is configured to select, in near real-time, at least one of the wireline or wireless networks according to the first network information and the second network information to obtain a network selection. The network selection is further based on supporting information obtained in non-real-time from a second microservice in communication with the first microservice. A network connection to the user device is coordinated according to the network selection, wherein a service according to the service requirement is supported via the network connection. Other embodiments are disclosed.

摘要: Various systems and methods for providing opportunistic placement of compute in an edge network are described herein. A node in an edge network may be configured to access a service level agreement related to a workload, the workload to be orchestrated for a user equipment by the node; modify a machine learning model based on the service level agreement; implement the machine learning model to identify resource requirements to execute the workload in a manner to satisfy the service level agreement; initiate resource assignments from a resource provider, the resource assignments to satisfy the resource requirements; construct a resource hierarchy from the resource assignments; initiate execution of the workload using resources from the resource hierarchy; and monitor and adapt execution of the workload based on the resource hierarchy in response to the execution of the workload.
