The method further comprises transmitting (1308) an indication whether the additional synchronization signal is available for use. For example, in response to determining that the additional synchronization signal should be transmitted, the indication signals a presence of the additional synchronization signal to the one or more wireless devices.

摘要: A user equipment (910) is provided for use in a cellular network. The user equipment includes a transceiver (1010), a processor (1020), and a memory (1030). The user equipment (910) is configured to determine, for a data transmission, a mapping form a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) to a PNT-RS. A DMRS resulting signal is generated from a subset of DMRS for a first resource element in a subcarrier. The DMRS resulting signal is copied from the first resource element to a second resource element assigned to the PNT-RS in the subcarrier. The data transmission is transmitted using the DMRS resulting signal and the PNT-RS.

摘要: Embodiments include methods, performed by a network node, for configuring a physical random-access channel (PRACH) of a cell in a time-division-duplexed (TDD) radio access network (RAN). The methods include determining an increase in a level of remote interference in the cell and, in response to determining the increase, selecting a first PRACH configuration from a first subset of available PRACH configurations. The first subset of available PRACH configurations can be more robust against remote interference than a second subset of the available PRACH configurations, and the first subset can be exclusive of the second subset. The methods also include transmitting, to one or more user equipment (UEs) first information indicating that the first PRACH configuration should be used for accessing the cell via the PRACH. Embodiments also include complementary methods performed by UEs, as well as network nodes and UEs configured to perform such methods.

摘要: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for mapping Synchronization Signal Blocks (SSBs) to transmit beam directions taking into account remote interference. In this regard, embodiments of a method performed by a base station in a cellular communications network are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method performed by a base station in a cellular communications network comprises determining a beam direction to SSB index mapping, taking into consideration remote interference. The method further comprises using the beam direction to SSB index mapping. Because the SSBs have corresponding Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) occasions, determining the beam direction to SSB index mapping taking into account remote interference improves PRACH preamble robustness.

摘要: A guard period for switching between uplink and downlink subframes is created by shortening a downlink subframe, i.e., by not transmitting during one or more symbol intervals at the end of the subframe. A grant message includes signaling indicating when a shortened subframe is being transmitted. An example method is implemented in a receiving node configured to receive data from a transmitting node in subframes having a predetermined number of symbol intervals. In an LTE system, this receiving node may be a UE, and the subframes are downlink subframes. This example method includes determining that a received subframe is to be shortened, relative to the predetermined number of symbol intervals and, in response to this determination, disregarding a last part of the received subframe by disregarding one or more symbols at the end of the received subframe when processing the received subframe.

摘要: A method and device for two-step random accessing. The method includes transmitting a random access preamble and a data block on a time-frequency resource to a network device; and receiving a response message for the random accessing from the network device. The data block is encoded with an orthogonal cover code and/or a cyclic shift, and the data block comprises data information and a reference signal associated with the data information. Therefore, resource efficiency is improved significantly for an associated data message following a random access preamble with endurable minor performance degradation.

Among the various advantages flowing from configuring network-side beamforming for the device in view of the beamforming property, the network need not configure its beamforming operations according to worst-case or minimum-capability assumptions for the device, and, instead tailors its transmission or reception beamforming in dependence on the beamforming property of the device.
