    摘要: A technique for performing partial reads of a touch sensor (10) provides several advantages, including scalability to touch sensors with high sensing-line counts, and reductions in operating power. The technique involves identifying a region (46) of the touch surface (12) of the touch sensor (10) to be read and performing a partial read directed to the identified region. Rather than exciting all sensing lines of the touch surface (12), the partial read excites one or more of the sensing lines (18, 28) that are involved with the identified region (46), without exciting one or more of the uninvolved sensing lines (18, 28). Identifying the region or regions (46) to be read involves, for example, obtaining touch-control information from a software application (74) running on a host device (72) that includes the touch sensor (10).

A simultaneously applied set of column input signals (24) yields a corresponding set of column output signals (34) that are combined into a combined column signal (38) that is transformed into the frequency domain after digitization, to yield column values (48) corresponding to the respective touch sensor columns (12). The same process applied with respect to the touch sensor rows (14) yields a set of row values (50), with evaluation of the frequency-domain column and row values (48, 50) providing the basis for detecting touch inputs to the touch sensor (10).

    摘要: A method is disclosed—for a wireless communication device served by a network access node—of keeping a time reference at the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device is configured for operation according to at least first and second operational modes, the second operational mode having lower power consumption than the first operational mode. The method comprises (during operation according to the first operational mode) determining (for the second operational mode) desired timings of timing signals to be transmitted from the network access node, and transmitting a request signal to the network access node, wherein the request signal carries information of the desired timings of timing signals to be transmitted from the network access node.     摘要: A method for transitioning between user profiles in an electronic user device during use of the electronic user device wherein the electronic user device comprises a fingerprint sensor operatively connected to a touch sensor of the electronic user device is disclosed.
