摘要： The invention is a polyvinyl alcohol film having an YI value of at most 20, which is formed of a modified polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of polymerization of from 1500 to 5000, an ethylene unit content of from 1 to 4 mol % and a 1,2-glycol bond content of at most 1.4 mol %. The polyvinyl alcohol film gives polarizing films that contain no impurities and have good polarization performance, durability and hue stability.

摘要： A polyvinyl alcohol polymer film includes a polyvinyl alcohol polymer and a plasticizer selected from the group consisting of ethylene glycol, glycerin, propylene glycol, diethylene glycol, diglycerin, triethylene glycol, tetraethylene glycol, and trimethylolpropane. The amount of the polyvinyl alcohol polymer eluted when a 10 cm square of the polyvinyl alcohol polymer film is left in 1 liter of water of 50° C. for 4 hours is from 1 to 100 ppm. The film has only a small number of defects and is useful as raw material for producing a polarization film.

摘要： A water-soluble resin composition is provided which comprises (i) 100 parts by weight of a polyvinyl alcohol polymer having a 1,2-glycol linkage content of at least 1.8 mole percent and a degree of hydrolysis of at least 90 mole percent, (ii) 1 to 50 parts by weight of a plasticizer and (iii) 5 to 50 parts by weight of a monosaccharide and/or a polysaccharide, optionally together with (iv) 1 to 20 parts by weight of an inorganic filler. Also provided is a water-soluble resin composition which comprise (i′) 100 parts by weight of a polyvinyl alcohol polymer having a 1,2-glycol linkage content of at least 1.8 mole percent and a degree of hydrolysis of 92 to 99 mole percent, (ii′) 1 to 50 parts by weight of a plasticizer and (iv′) 1 to 20 parts by weight of an inorganic filler, optionally together with (iii′) 5 to 50 parts by weight of a monosaccharide and/or polysaccharide. Further provided are water-soluble films produced by using those water-soluble resin compositions.

摘要： There are provided a battery electrode wherein an active material layer is formed on a collector surface, and the layer contains an active material and a block copolymer having a vinyl alcohol polymer block; and a lithium ion secondary battery having a laminate structure in which a pair of electrodes having an active material layer are disposed in such a manner that the active material layers face each other via a separator, and an electrolyte composition containing a lithium-containing electrolyte salt fills the gaps between the pair of electrodes and the separator, wherein at least one of the pair of electrodes is the above battery electrode. Thus, there can be provided a lithium ion secondary battery which can be easily produced and be less polarized, exhibiting excellent charge/discharge properties and cycle characteristics.
