    摘要: A method of and apparatus for synchronously transferring an original and a sheet of copying paper for electrostatic photoduplication. A paper feeding device feeds the sheets of copying paper one at a time until the front edge reaches a predetermined position at a front edge stop. The sheet of copying paper is held at the predetermined position on standby for a period of time, and then a paper transfer device transfers it to move the front edge to an exposure point. At the same time an original placed on a mount is moved from a stopping point in the cycle of movement of the mount to a position in which the leading edge of the original is at an irradiation point optically aligned with the exposure point. The period of time during which the copying paper is fed from the supply, held in the predetermined position, and then moved to the exposure position is equal to the time for moving the mount for the original from a predetermined point along the path of movement of the mount to the irradiation point. Thereafter, the original is moved past the irradiation point synchronously with transfer of the copying paper past the exposure point at a predetermined rate for exposing the copying paper to the image from the original.

    摘要: A switch device for an electrostatic photographic copying machine having a reciprocally movable member reciprocating from a rest position and returning thereto during each copying operation of the copying machine, and a drive driving the movable member. The switch device has an actuating member movable relative to the copying machine body and is toward a non-operating position. An operating member engages with the actuating member for moving it to an operating position. A retaining device engages the actuating member for holding the actuating member in the operating position after it has been moved to the operating position. A switch actuating the drive for the movable member is engageable by the actuating member for actuating the drive means when the movable member is in the operating position and actuating the switch for deactuating the drive when the movable member is in the non-operating position. A protuberant member movable with the reciprocally movable member engages the retaining device just prior to the return of the reciprocally movable member to the rest position after a reciprocating movement thereof for disengaging the retaining device from the actuating member, whereby when the retaining means is disengaged the actuating member is free to be moved to the non-operating position for actuating the switch for deactuating the drive.

    摘要: A process for preparing a photosensitive material for electrostatic photography having an improved memory resistance, which comprises a photoconductive layer on an electrically conductive substrate, the photoconductive layer comprising (1) a finely divided inorganic photoconductor, (2) 5 to 50 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the photoconductor of an electrically insulating organic synthetic resin binder having a specific resistance of at least 10.sup.14 ohm-cm, and (3) 0.001 to 1 % by weight, based on the photoconductor, of at least one photo-memory erasing compound selected from alkali metal dichromates, which process comprises forming the photoconductive layer by applying a coating composition to the electrically conductive substrate at a coating weight of 5 to 50 g/m.sup.2, the coating composition comprising the photo-memory erasing compound, the photoconductor, the resin binder, an aromatic solvent in which the resin binder is dissolved or dispersed, an a polar solvent for the photo-memory erasing compound, the polar solvent being soluble in the aromatic solvent and being selected such that the photo-memory erasing compound is soluble in said polar solvent.

    摘要: A contact heat fixing device which comprises a driving heated roller having a heating mechanism disposed in the interior thereof and a surface coated with an offset preventing material, a press roller which is rotated in intimate contact under pressure with said heat roller, a vessel for containing therein an offset preventing liquid and a feed mechanism for supplying the offset preventing liquid to the heated roller from the vessel, fixation of a toner image being accomplished by the passage of a support having the toner image thereon through the nip position of the heated roller and the press roller, wherein said feed mechanism includes an applicator for applying the offset preventing liquid to the surface of the heated roller and supply means for supplying the offset preventing liquid from the vessel to the applicator, said applicator being arranged so that it can shift between a position (PI) where it has a pressing contact with said supply means and a position (P2) where it has a pressing contact with said heated roller, in such a manner that the offset preventing liquid is supplied to said applicator when it is at said position (P1), the applicator is moved from said position (P1) to the position (P2) synchronously with feeding of said support to have temporary contact with the surface of the heated roller and apply thereto the offset preventing liquid, and the applicator is then returned to the position (P2).
