Abstract:
A sheet conveying apparatus which conveys a sheet includes: a first rotating member made of a material which is positive with respect to the sheet in a triboelectric series; and a second rotating member made of a material which is negative with respect to the sheet in the triboelectric series, wherein the first and second rotating members are arranged in a conveyance direction of the sheet and arranged to be contact with the same surface of the sheet, and a foreign material is removed from the conveyed sheet by the first and second rotating members.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus including: a sheet feeding portion configured to feed a sheet to a sheet conveying path; an image forming portion configured to form an image on the sheet; a sheet discharging portion configured to discharge the sheet; a sheet re-conveying path configured to guide the sheet on which the image has been formed to the sheet conveying path again; an original feeding portion configured to feed an original; an original feeding path configured to guide the original to the sheet re-conveying path; an image reading portion configured to read an image of the original; an original discharging path configured to guide the original guided along the sheet re-conveying path to an original discharging portion; and an original conveying portion configured to convey the original which has been guided along the original feeding path toward the original discharging path.
Abstract:
There provided a guide member including: a first guide member that is disposed to face a first surface of a sheet which is transported to a first direction and that guides the sheet in front and at the rear of a processing position at which a process is performed on the first surface; and a second guide member that is disposed to face a second surface of the sheet and guides the sheet, wherein the second guide member includes specific plural convex portions.
Abstract:
A document feeding device of the present invention includes: a discharge roller pair that includes a first drive roller and a first idler roller; and a transport roller pair that includes a second drive roller and a second idler roller. Either one of the second drive roller and the second idler roller moves between a contact position where said roller is in contact with the other roller and a separation position where said roller is separated from the other roller. The transport roller pair is disposed on the other side of the discharge roller pair from a discharge tray. The transport roller pair transports a document that has passed through the reading position to the discharge roller pair by positioning said roller at the contact position in a case where the first drive roller rotates forward.
Abstract:
An automatic document feeder transmission includes a single electric motor mounted on a chassis. Motor actuates a power input gear that is rotatably mounted on the chassis and has gear teeth. A swing arm, rotatably mounted to the chassis, pivots about a swing arm pivot axis through an arc of travel. Arm has central and distal ends, the latter having gear teeth formed therein. Driving and driven pinions, each having mutually intermeshing gear teeth, are rotatably mounted to the arm. Driven pinion gear teeth also intermesh with power input gear teeth. A paper stop is rotatably mounted on the chassis. A catch, disposed on the arm, is selectively engageable with a wire spring disposed adjacent portion(s) of the travel arc, wherein arm rotation is selectively stopped in one direction and allowed in an opposite direction. Arm selectively switches between three discreet feeder modes and selectively actuates the paper stop.
Abstract:
The lengths of an OUT path and an IN path are made longer than the length of a document of a main size in a traveling direction. The document of the main size stands by for conveyance in a direction of a READ document glass in a state where the entire document is contained in the OUT path or the IN path. The entrance speed of the document into the OUT path or the IN path is equal to the read speed of a scanner. The leading edge of a subsequent document is overlapped on the trailing edge of a preceding document, and the document is conveyed to the READ document glass.
Abstract:
An image scanner of the present invention includes a document feeder, a first scanning section, a start reception section, and a single mode execution section. The document feeder is configured to feed a sheet of document. The first scanning section is configured to scan an image on the document during movement of the document. The start reception section is configured to receive an instruction to start scanning the image on the document from a user. The single mode execution section is configured to execute a single mode to cause the document feeder and the first scanning section to perform scanning of an image on the document every time the start reception section receives the start instruction.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: a document loading tray that loads a document; a document transport path that transports the document; an image reading unit that is disposed in the document transport path and reads an image of the document; a document output tray into which the document that has been transported on the document transport path is ejected; a recording medium loading tray into which a recording medium is loaded; a recording medium transport path on which the recording medium is transported; an image recording unit that is disposed in the recording medium transport path and records an image on the recording medium; and a recording medium output tray into which the recording medium that has been transported on the recording medium transport path is output. The recording medium loading tray is disposed between the document loading tray and the document output tray.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes a body and an auto document feeder. The body includes an exposure glass, a reader for reading an image of an original sheet through the exposure glass, and a guide disposed on the exposure glass and configured to support the original sheet. The auto document feeder is swingably moved between an open position and a closed position relative to the body and feeds the original sheet onto the exposure glass when situated at the closed position. The auto document feeder includes a press and a regulator. The press presses the original sheet onto the exposure glass. The regulator is mounted to the press and contacts the guide when the auto document feeder is situated at the closed position so as to form a slit between the exposure glass and the press. The slit is barely enough to allow the original sheet to pass therethrough.
Abstract:
An automatic document feeder which is capable of preventing the occurrence of jams that would be caused when a bundle of originals in which originals having lengths in a conveying direction equal to or greater than a predetermined reference length and originals having lengths shorter than the reference length are mixed are conveyed in a high-speed double-sided mode. When the originals are sequentially conveyed, a length of a respective original is detected. If the detected length of a preceding original being conveyed in the high-speed double-sided mode is equal to or greater than a predetermined length, the high-speed double-sided mode in which conveyance of the next original is started after start of non-reading conveyance of the preceding original is switched over to a normal double-sided mode in which the conveyance of the next original is started in advance of the non-reading conveyance of the preceding original.
