摘要: A print is produced on a semiporous recording medium. The semiporous recording medium is dried to an equilibrated 20% RH. Hydrophilic liquid is deposited on the medium in a selected fluid pattern within 15 seconds after the completion of drying. The recording medium is charged so that a charge pattern of charged and discharged areas is formed on the recording medium and the discharged areas correspond to the fluid pattern. Charged dry ink having charge of the same sign as the charge in the charged areas on the recording medium is deposited on the medium in a pattern corresponding to the selected fluid pattern. The dry ink is at least in part hydrophilic, so the dry ink adheres to the hydrophilic liquid, and at least some of the liquid is drawn into or around the deposited dry ink particles.

摘要: A positive type photoresist resin film includes a support film and a thermosetting positive type photoresist resin layer laminated over the support film. The positive type photoresist resin layer contains alkali soluble resin, a diazide based photosensitive compound and a sensitivity enhancer. The support film has a surface roughness that inhibits the formation of defect structures such as fish eye. The invention overcomes process inefficiencies and defects cause by spin coating photoresist technologies.

摘要: The invention provides a photosensitive element which comprises a sheet substrate having coated thereon an actinic radiation sensitive imageable layer. The imageable layer has an admixture an aromatic diazonium salt having an anion, and having a weight average molecular weight of from about 15,000 to about 35,000. The aromatic diazonium salt is present in an amount of from about 1 weight % to about 9 weight % of the imageable layer. The composition also has a cationic infrared absorbing dye which has the same anion as said aromatic diazonium salt, and a solid epoxy polymer having a weight average molecular weight of from about 2,000 to about 8,000. The coating weight of the imageable layer per area is preferably from about 0.3 to about 0.9 g/m2. The imageable layer is sensitive to low levels of actinic irradiation, namely, from about 1 and 40 mj/cm2 in the UV region and from about 50 to about 250 mj/cm2 in the IR region. The sensitivity is increased by heating the imageable layer before development. After imagewise exposure and aqueous development, an imaged element is obtained, which is useful for lithographic printing.

摘要: A projection system includes a light source, an image unit, a projection unit, a light-reflection unit and a screen. The light source emits a light beam. The image unit receives the light beam from the light source and forms an image light. The projection unit is disposed on the route of the image light. The projection unit receives the image light from the image unit and projects it out. The light-reflection unit disposed on the route of the image light has a reflecting layer and at least one light-pervious reflecting layer, and receives the image light from the projection unit. The light-pervious reflecting layer reflects the received image light to form a first image light. The reflecting layer reflects the received image light to form a second image light. The screen is disposed on the route of the first image light and the second image light. The first image light is projected on the screen to form a first image. The second image light is projected on the screen to form a second image. There is a displacement between the first and the second images.

摘要: Multi-layer, positive working, thermally sensitive imageable elements, useful as lithographic printing plate precursors, are disclosed. The elements comprises a substrate, an underlayer over the substrate, and a top layer over the underlayer. The top layer comprises polymeric material, which is a solvent soluble novolac resin or a derivative thereof. The polymeric material is a (a) novolac that has a weight average molecular weight of at least 10,000, a derivative thereof functionalized with polar groups, or a derivative thereof functionalized with quadruple hydrogen bonding entities; (b) a solvent soluble m-cresol/p-cresol novolac resins that comprises at least 10 mol % p-cresol and has a weight average molecular weight of at least 8,000, a derivative thereof functionalized with polar groups, or a derivative thereof functionalized with quadruple hydrogen bonding entities; or (c) a mixture thereof. The imageable elements have increased scuff resistance and are thus less susceptible to damage during handling.
