Abstract: Methods and apparatus to measure exposure to streaming media are disclosed. An example apparatus includes for measurement of exposure to streaming media includes at least one memory, instructions in the apparatus, and processor circuitry to execute the instructions to: access metadata identifying media presented to a user, and cookie data, the metadata and the cookie data provided by a client device; determine whether the cookie data identifies the user to a database proprietor; in response to a determination that the cookie data does not identify the user to the database proprietor, send a redirect message instructing the client device to retransmit the metadata to a next-hop location; and in response to a determination that the cookie data does identify the user to the database proprietor, provide the metadata and a user identifier to a central facility.

Abstract: An example includes a segment collector to: access impression records indicative of media access segments, the media access segments including start times and end times corresponding to media accessed by a panelist; and determine ones of the impression records that include a watermark corresponding to a first media platform presenting the media; a segment classifier to convert a first one of the impression records including the watermark to a converted impression record; and combine the converted impression record corresponding to the first media platform and a second impression record corresponding to a second media platform; and a media creditor to generate audience measurement metrics based on the combined impression records.

The configuration file may be sent to the media player.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to determine ratings information for online media presentations are disclosed. An example system includes a beacon server and an impression monitor server. The beacon server is to send pingback instructions to a client device. The pingback instructions cause the client device to transmit first pingback messages to the impression monitor server at intervals designated by the pingback instructions and in response to a presentation of media via the client device. The pingback instructions further cause the client device to transmit a second pingback message to the impression monitor server in response to a skip request associated with the presentation of the media via the client device. The impression monitor server is to log impressions corresponding to the first pingback messages and the second pingback message. The impression monitor server is also to determine a duration impression for the media based on the logged impressions.

Example commercial crediting apparatus disclosed herein compare first identification information and first timing information obtained from a first monitored data feed with second identification information and second timing information in a second monitored data feed to identify a first final distributor code represented in the second monitoring data feed, the first identification information and the first timing information corresponding to a first commercial represented in the first monitored data feed. Disclosed example apparatus also access data that maps a first original distributor code to the first final distributor code, identify the first commercial in lineup data based on the first original distributor code, and adjust, based on a duration of the first commercial, a duration obtained for a first media program listed in the lineup data.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus to measure exposure to streaming media are disclosed. An example method includes detecting metadata associated with streaming media presented at a client device. Data is extracted from a first field of the metadata. The data from the first field of the metadata is processed to generate a first request directed to a first internet domain, the first internet domain based on the data, the first request including a media identifier from a second field of the metadata, the second field of the metadata separate from the first field of the metadata, the media identifier identifying the streaming media. In response to the detection of the metadata, the first request is sent from the client device to the first internet domain.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for over the top (OTT) media measurement are disclosed herein. Example methods include comparing, with an on-site meter in communication with an OTT service provider server, household data maintained by the OTT service provider server with anonymized panelist data provided by an audience measurement entity to identify a first person predicted to be included in a first household according to the anonymized panelist data but not included in the first household according to the household data, accessing media impressions collected by the OTT service provider server and corresponding to media accessed with a first OTT device associated with the first household, and crediting, with the on-site meter, usage of the first OTT device associated with access of the media to the first person based on the media impressions and demographic data obtained from the anonymized panelist data and attributed to the first person.
