摘要: A personal care device for modifying a keratinous surface having a sensor, a treatment element adapted to deposit a personal care composition, a feedback element, and a processor. The feedback element can be activated during deposition of the personal care composition. The personal care device can analyze a keratinous surface, identify keratinous imperfections, and then modify the keratinous imperfection by depositing a personal care composition. The feedback element can be intermittently activated during deposition and can emit a feedback signal that corresponds to the deposition of the personal care composition to alert the user as to how the personal care device is working and/or when the modification process is complete.

摘要: An apparatus for treating human skin that has an applicator head having one or more applicator nozzles which may be in a array. The apparatus further has a reservoir comprising a treatment composition, a sensor, and a CPU. The sensor takes an image of at least 10 μm2 of skin, the CPU analyzes the image to calculate one or more localized L values of individual pixels or group of pixels of the skin. Then the CPU compares the local L value to a predetermined background L value to identify skin deviations. A skin deviation occurs where the difference between the background L value and the local L value is greater than a predetermined ΔLS value.

摘要: Included are embodiments of an angled cartridge assembly for modifying a treating surface. These embodiments may include a reservoir for storing a treatment composition, the treatment composition for being applied to the treating surface. Embodiments may also include a body portion that is coupled to the reservoir, where the body portion comprises a base surface and a dispensing surface, where the dispensing surface is disposed opposite the base surface on the angled cartridge assembly, and where the dispensing surface is disposed in a nonparallel configuration relative to the base surface.

摘要: A method and device for analyzing and treating tonal imperfections on human skin. The method has the steps of providing one or more nozzles and taking an image of skin adjacent the nozzles. A central processing unit calculates a plurality of local L values of the skin near nozzles and calculates a background L. The background L may be the arithmetic average, median, or mean of the plurality of local Ls near nozzles. Skin deviations are areas of skin where the absolute value of the difference between a local L and the background L, ΔLM, is greater than a predetermined ΔLS. Skin deviations are identified by this method and then treated with a treatment composition.

摘要: A micro electromechanical ink jet printing system that has a cartridge having a body that defines a core, and a die that contains one or more nozzles. There is a treatment composition contained within the cartridge core. The system further includes a CPU that is programmable and can control the application of the treatment composition from within the cartridge core, through the one or more nozzles to human skin. Typically, the treatment composition will contain a skin treatment ingredient selected from the group consisting of particles, vitamins, yeast and yeast extracts, skin care actives, dyes, colorants and mixtures thereof. There may optionally be provided a bladder or foam block disposed within the cartridge core for suspending and regulating the flow of the treatment composition. The systems of this invention may include an applicator having an applicator head having one or more applicator nozzles which may be in a array. The applicator has a sensor that takes an image of at least 10 μm2 of skin, the CPU analyzes the image to calculate one or more localized L values of individual pixels or group of pixels of the skin. Then the CPU compares the local L value to a predetermined background L value to identify skin deviations. A skin deviation occurs where the difference between the background L value and the local L value is greater than a predetermined ΔLS value.

摘要: A method of camouflaging a tonal imperfection comprising the steps of: identifying a skin tone of a user comprising a tonal imperfection; instructing the user to select a pigmented cosmetic composition adapted to camouflage the tonal imperfection based on the user's skin tone; selecting the pigmented cosmetic composition; and selectively targeting and depositing the pigmented cosmetic composition substantially only onto the tonal imperfection; wherein the pigmented cosmetic composition comprises an average composition L* value of about 10 to about 40 units greater than an average skin L* value of the user. The pigmented cosmetic composition can comprise a particular set of L*C*h* values such that when deposited onto tonal imperfections, it can result in natural, flawless looking skin, while still remaining substantially undetectable to the naked eye.
