Abstract:
Disclosed is a supporting unit for a bike carrier. The supporting unit is configured for fixedly holding a mounting portion mountable to the fork of a bike instead of a wheel or being formed by a part other than the wheel of the bike to be transported, for example by a portion of the fork of the bike. The supporting unit comprises a locking mechanism for receiving the mounting portion and to be transferable between a locking state in which the mounting portion is non-releasably fixed on the supporting unit and an unlocking state in which the mounting portion is dismountable from the supporting unit. The locking mechanism is lockable by receiving a force from the mounting portion upon inserting the mounting portion into the supporting unit so that the locking mechanism is transferable into the locking state by the force exerted on the locking mechanism by the mounting portion.
Abstract:
A tensioning device for a load carrier, such as a bike carrier or a roof box. The tensioning device includes a torque limiting mechanism which is adapted to limit the amount of transferable torque. The torque limiting mechanism includes a first torque transmission member and a second torque transmission member. The first torque transmission member is biased into working cooperation with the second torque transmission member such that upon a torque threshold value, the first and second torque transmission members are disengaged from working cooperation so that a torque limiting function is provided. An activation member is associated with the first torque transmission member, which enables a user to operate the first torque transmission member to transfer torque to the second torque transmission member.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a wheel holder for a vehicle, preferably a bike front wheel holder, with a load connecting portion, which is preferably releasably attachable to a load carrier, and a wheel holding member, wherein the wheel holder comprises a docking device configured for releasable attachment of the wheel holding member to the load connecting portion to allow for attachment of a wheel to the wheel holding member at a location remote from the load connecting portion. Furthermore, the present disclosure relates to load carrier attachment devices.

Abstract:
A carrier basket for an automotive vehicle is disclosed which includes a base having at least one member for connecting to a roof of an automotive vehicle, a frame having two side rails oriented in a first direction and at least one transverse bar oriented cross to the side rails, wherein the side rails are connected to the at least one transverse bar, wherein the frame is attached upon the base as to form a box open to the top, wherein the at least one transverse bar comprises includes a groove arranged for attachment of accessories and having a length, wherein the entire length of the groove is available for attaching accessories, and wherein the groove extends over a substantial portion of the distance between the two side rails.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a bike trailer having a main frame and a seat structure. The main frame defines an accommodating space for a passenger or load to be transported. The seat structure is transferable between an operational state in which the seat structure forms a seating area for the passenger, and a stowed state in which the seat structure is folded away thereby allowing the transport of loads other than passengers. The seat structure comprises a backrest portion with a seating side for at least partially contacting the back of a passenger. The backrest portion is accommodatable in the bike trailer such that at least the seating side of the backrest portion is protected against contact with loads to be carried when the seat structure is in the stowed state.
Abstract:
A luggage article includes a first luggage part and a second luggage part defining two opposing closable parts of the luggage article, where the first and second luggage parts define an inner volume of the luggage article when closed, and an attachment part having a first connecting part and a second connecting part that are pivotally connected via a hinge, where the first connecting part is attached to a first edge of the first luggage part and the second connecting part is attached to a second edge of the second luggage part, a closure part adapted to secure the first luggage part to the second luggage part preventing access to the inner volume of the luggage article, and a barrier that overlaps the closure part in an area that is between the inner volume of the luggage article and the closure part in a radial direction.
Abstract:
A bicycle retaining device (1) for retaining a bicycle in a bicycle carrier arrangement on a transporting vehicle. The second claw part (7) is arranged to be movable with respect to the supporting arm (2) and the first claw part (5) such that a distance (d) between the first and the second bicycle abutment surfaces (6,8) is adjustable between a maximum distance (dmax) and a minimum distance (dmin). A catch (15) is arranged at the outer end (11) of the first claw part (5) and has a catching position with the catch (15) extending from the outer end (11) of the first claw part (5) in a direction toward the outer end (13) of the second claw part (7). When in the catching position, the catch (15) is arranged to partially bridge the maximum distance (dmax) between the first and the second abutment surfaces (6,8).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a supporting structure for a roof mounted bike carrier having a wheel tray. The supporting structure includes a first attachment part and a second attachment part which is separable from the first attachment part. The supporting structure includes a bike supporting device having a coupling section coupled to the first attachment part and adapted to support a bike with a supporting section thereof The first attachment part and the second attachment part are structured so as to be invertedly couplable for providing respective reversed positions of the bike supporting device with respect to the second attachment part.
