    摘要: A lancing mechanism is adapted to move between a resting, cocking and a puncture position. The lancing mechanism comprises a lancet holder adapted to receive a lancet, a shaft attached to the lancet holder, at least one drive spring and at least one damping spring. The drive spring surrounds at least a portion of the shaft and drives the lancing mechanism from the cocking position to the puncture position. The damping spring moves the lancing mechanism from the puncture position to the resting position. The drive spring is located at least partially within the damping spring.

    摘要: A lancing mechanism is adapted to move between a resting, cocking and a puncture position.     摘要: An apparatus for lancing skin and collecting a liquid sample. The apparatus having a housing with an outer periphery and a rotatable arm having a lance to puncture the skin. A sample collection area is attached to the arm. The arm of the apparatus rotates from a first position to a second position. As the arm rotates, the lance extends beyond the housing allowing the lance to contact the user's skin and create a lance site. As the arm continues to move to the second position, the lance is brought out of contact with the user's skin and back within the housing while the collection area is brought into position. When the arm is located in the second position, the collection area is in substantially the same location as the lance site on the user's skin.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for dispensing a solution of highly viscous polymeric material and gas includes a dispenser connected to a pressure regulator which is adapted to connect to a source of a pressurized polymer/gas solution. Minimal pressure drop due to line losses occurs in the course of transmitting the solution from the pressure regulator into the dispenser because of their close proximity, and the solution is maintained under controlled pressure throughout passage to the discharge outlet of a nozzle carried by the dispenser so that the gas is maintained in solution in the polymeric material until it is discharged from the nozzle to atmosphere. The flow rate of solution through the dispenser is variable by operation of adjustable valve structure associated with the dispenser and/or by operation of the pressure regulator.
