摘要: A power supply with a full-wave rectifier and a chopper having an inductor and a transistor connected in series across the rectifier. The transistor is switched on and off providing an interrupted voltage which is applied across a smoothing capacitor, via a blocking diode, to produce a smoothed DC voltage for driving a load. When the transistor is turned on, current from the rectifier is drawn through the inductor. When the transistor is turned off, the current through the inductor is conducted, in a positive direction, to the smoothing capacitor. The inductor and parasitic capacitance inherently present in the chopper create oscillations which allow current to flow through the inductor in a negative direction. A controller turns the transistor on at a time when the current flows in the negative direction and turns the transistor off after a predetermined on-period so as to release the current through the inductor, thereby causing the current to first flow in the negative direction and then in the positive direction through the inductor during the on-period. An input current wave shaping circuit is provided so that for each on-period, the amount of current flowing continuously through the inductor in the negative direction occurring immediately after the turning on of the transistor is less than the amount of current flowing through the inductor in the positive direction.

摘要: An inverter controller dives an inverter to operate at a switching frequency selectively from one of a preheating frequency (f1), a starting frequency (f2), and a lighting frequency (f3) which are different from each other, thereby giving a preheating mode, a starting mode, and a lighting mode. A reset means is provided to make the starting mode upon lowering of a voltage supplied to the inverter below a first threshold, while an inverter stop means is provided to stop the inverter upon detection of abnormality of a discharge lamp. A timer generates a signal determining the start of the preheating, starting, and/or lighting modes, and generates a reset signal disable signal for disabling the reset means, an inverter stop disable signal for disabling the inverter stop means. The inverter controller includes a frequency sweep means for varying the switching frequency gradually from the starting frequency to the lighting frequency. The timer disables the reset means only during a period starting from the selection of the preheating frequency and ending when the switching frequency varies to the lighting frequency, and disable the inverter stop means only during a period starting from the selection of the preheating frequency and ending when the switching frequency begins to vary from the starting frequency to the lighting frequency.

摘要: A bicycle crank arm has a body member and a cover member that at least partially overlies a peripheral surface of the body member. The body member includes a crank axle attachment portion that has a crank axle receiving opening. A slit extends from the peripheral surface of the body member to the crank axle receiving opening. A fastener bore extends transversely through the slit for adjusting the crank axle receiving opening in size. The peripheral surface of the body member has abutments located on opposite sides of the slit. The abutments are arranged relative to the slit such that the abutments move closer together as the crank axle attachment portion is squeezed to decrease the crank axle receiving opening in size. The cover member contacts the abutments and moves with the abutments as the crank axle attachment portion is squeezed to decrease the crank axle receiving opening in size.

摘要: A bicycle crank fixing structure is arranged to fix a left crank with a mounting bore and a slit extending radially from the mounting bore to a crank axle. The mounting bore is non-rotatably coupled to the crank axle. The slit is provided with two mounting bolts that perpendicularly intersect to adjust a width of the slit to fasten the crank to the crank axle. The crank axle has a retaining hole formed on the outer circumferential surface thereof which faces the slit of the crank. A retaining member with a retaining projection is disposed in the slit such that the retaining member rotates by rotation of the mounting bolt. The retaining projection of the retaining member is retained in the retaining hole formed on the crank axle to prevent the crank from detaching from the crank axle even when a fastening bolt is loosened.

摘要: A crank arm is formed with an enclosed hollow section, a first solid end fixed to one end of the hollow section and defining a first opening for fitting to a crank axle, and a second solid end fixed to a second end of the hollow section and defining a second opening for fitting to a pedal. The hollow section is constructed from a middle section having a longitudinal groove and a separate lid fixed to the middle section for enclosing the groove. The first solid end has a thicker cross section than the second solid end so that the stress applied to the crank is substantially constant. The hollow section may be keel-shaped to further enhance the strength of the crank arm without stress being concentrated in any particular location. To form the crank arm, a crank arm body is formed having a first opening on one end for fitting to a crank axle, a second opening on another end for fitting to a pedal, and a longitudinal groove. A lid member is positioned over the longitudinal groove, and then the lid member is welded to the crank arm body. Reverse beads are formed inside the longitudinal groove junctions between the lid member and the crank arm body, and any external beads formed by the welding step are shaved so that a surface of a junction between the middle section and the lid is even with a surface of the middle section and the lid along an entire length of the junction.

摘要: A bicycle crank arm assembly for a bicycle designed for mounting a sprocket thereto. The crank arm has a centrally located hub portion, a crank portion extending radially outwardly from the hub portion and at least three fastening fingers extending radially outwardly from the hub portion. The fastening fingers are designed to have substantially the same stiffness at their free ends. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways such as change the cross-section of the fastening fingers adjacent the crank portion or changing the shape of the sprocket mounting portions of the fastening fingers. Also, in certain embodiments, the fastening fingers adjacent the crank portion are constructed such that their rear surfaces lie in the same plane as the rear surface of the crank portion adjacent thereto, or in a lower plane.

摘要: A crank axle includes an axle body having first and second ends, a first rotary linkage member disposed at the first end of the axle body for nonrotatably fitting a first crank arm thereto, and a first centering structure disposed at the first end of the axle body in close proximity to the first rotary linkage member. If desired, the rotary linkage member may be formed as a plurality of splines, and the same structure may be formed at the second end. A crank arm for fitting to the crank axle includes a crank axle mounting section having a centering structure for centering the crank axle mounting section to an end of a crank axle, and a rotary linkage member for nonrotatably fitting the crank axle mounting section to the end of the crank axle. A special bolt is used to fix the crank arm to the crank axle. The bolt includes a head, a threaded section having a diameter greater than or equal to the head, and a flange disposed between the head and the threaded section. The flange preferably has a diameter greater than the diameter of the threaded section, and the head defines a multiple-sided tool-engaging hole which extends axially into the threaded section to maximize the tool engaging surface. The crank axle mounting section of the crank arm preferably includes a stop ring or similar structure located so that the flange of the bolt is disposed between the stop ring and the first end of the axle body. As a result, the bolt flange presses the crank arm apart from the crank axle when the bolt is loosened. Special tools may be provided to allow easy installation and removal of the components.

摘要: A power supply device in which an inverter circuit is supplied with power directly from a rectification circuit, the inverter circuit has a pair of switching elements connected in series with each other and connected between both ends of the rectification circuit through an impedance element, a series circuit of the impedance element, two capacitors and an inductor is connected in parallel to one of the switching elements of the inverter circuit connected to positive polarity one of the both ends of the rectification circuit, a load is connected across one of the capacitor, a valley filling circuit receives an output of the inverter circuit through a diode provided in the valley filling circuit and supplies it to a power supply capacitor provided therein and, when a DC output voltage of the rectification circuit drops, the valley filling circuit supplies power to the inverter circuit via the power supply capacitor and another diode provided therein. Thereby, fluctuations in a current supplied to the load can be effectively reduced.
