摘要: An inverter device has a full-wave rectifier providing a pulsating DC voltage from an input AC voltage, a smoothing circuit. The smoothing circuit includes a choke coil, a smoothing capacitor and a switching element chopping the pulsating DC voltage through the choke coil into a smoothed DC voltage at the smoothing capacitor. An inverter is included to have the element common to the smoothing circuit and operating to switch the smoothed DC voltage to apply a resulting voltage to a load circuit including a load, inductance and capacitor. The inductance and capacitor define an oscillation circuit providing to the load an oscillating current composed of first and second currents of opposite directions. The oscillating current alternating to flow for a nominal on-time duration determined by a circuit constant of the oscillation circuit itself. A controller is included to detect the termination of the second current and excites the common switching element at a timing dependent upon the termination of the second current so as to start flowing the first current. The controller includes a timer for separately controlling an actual on-time duration for flowing the first current within the nominal on-time duration, whereby enabling to regulate the accumulated DC voltage in the smoothing capacitor at a desired level by controlling to vary the actual on-time duration of the common switching element.

摘要: The present invention provides a headlamp for a vehicle wherein a reflector is different in focal position of a paraboloidal surface between an upper surface and a lower surface thereof, a focal point on the lower surface side is formed to be positioned forwardly more than a length of a sub-filament from a focal point on the upper surface side, and the sub-filament is positioned between both the focal points to thereby efficiently utilize luminescense and obtain a light distribution pattern of high luminous intensity.

摘要: A power supply with a full-wave rectifier and a chopper having an inductor and a transistor connected in series across the rectifier. The transistor is switched on and off providing an interrupted voltage which is applied across a smoothing capacitor, via a blocking diode, to produce a smoothed DC voltage for driving a load. When the transistor is turned on, current from the rectifier is drawn through the inductor. When the transistor is turned off, the current through the inductor is conducted, in a positive direction, to the smoothing capacitor. The inductor and parasitic capacitance inherently present in the chopper create oscillations which allow current to flow through the inductor in a negative direction. A controller turns the transistor on at a time when the current flows in the negative direction and turns the transistor off after a predetermined on-period so as to release the current through the inductor, thereby causing the current to first flow in the negative direction and then in the positive direction through the inductor during the on-period. An input current wave shaping circuit is provided so that for each on-period, the amount of current flowing continuously through the inductor in the negative direction occurring immediately after the turning on of the transistor is less than the amount of current flowing through the inductor in the positive direction.

摘要: An LED lighting unit, and a vehicle lamp using the LED lighting unit can have a favorable light distribution that can be perceived as a single, integrated lighting surface. The LED lighting unit can include a plurality of base boards, a plurality of LED light sources located on each mounting surface of the base boards, a plurality of parabolic reflectors and at least one V-shaped reflector configured to locate between the adjacent parabolic reflectors. Because each of the LED light sources is located substantially at each focus of the parabolic reflectors and the at least one V-shaped reflector, light emitted from the LED light sources can be illuminated as a single, integrated light via their reflectors. Thus, a vehicle lamp using the LED lighting unit can have a favorable light distribution that can be perceived as a single, integrated lighting surface and which can be used for a headlight, a tail lamp, etc.

摘要: An AC-to-DC converter for providing a step-down output DC voltage from an AC voltage source. The converter includes a rectifier connected to the AC voltage source to provide therefrom a rectified DC voltage to a step-up chopper. The chopper includes an inductor and a switching element which is connected in series with the inductor across the rectifier and which is driven to periodically turn on and off so as to store into the inductor an energy from the rectified DC voltage when the switching element is turned on and to release the energy from the inductor through a blocking diode to a charge-pump circuit when the switching element is turned off. The charge-pump circuit is connected to receive the energy released from the inductor as well as from the rectifier to accumulate a first voltage and provides a divided voltage of the first voltage to charge a smoothing capacitor by the divided voltage so as to develop thereat the step-down output DC voltage for driving a load. The converter further includes a switch which is turned on during at least a portion of an ON-period of the switching element in order to connect the smoothing capacitor to the charge-pump circuit for charging the smoothing capacitor by the divided voltage. The switch is turned off during an OFF-period of the switching element in order to disconnect the smoothing capacitor from the chopper.

摘要: In an apparatus, a method, and a program for estimation of biological electromagnetic compatibility, model data of a scattering body and an electromagnetic wave radiation source, data for prescribing a range to which an MoM including the electromagnetic wave radiation source is applied and a range to which a scattered field type FDTD method including the scattering body and the range to which the MoM is applied, and the like are previously prepared. The distribution of a current distributed by a voltage fed to the electromagnetic wave radiation source is determined by the MoM, incident electromagnetic fields incident on the respective grids in the scattering body are determined using the resultant distribution of the current, an electromagnetic field scattered from the scattering body is determined from the resultant incident electromagnetic field by the scattered field type FDTD method, electromotive forces induced in the respective segments of the electromagnetic wave radiation source are determined from the resultant scattered electromagnetic field, and further the distribution of the current is determined again in consideration of the induced electromotive forces. The above processing steps are repeated until the electromagnetic fields incident on the respective grids in the scattering body, and the like are converged. With the above operation, the biological electromagnetic compatibility can be estimated by executing calculations simply without depending on the distance between the electromagnetic wave radiation source and the scattering body.
