A method enables automatic determination that an area covered by an Access Point (AP) of a Wi-Fi Radio Access Network (RAN) overlaps with a cell of a 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) RAN. The method comprises, at an entity of the Wi-Fi RAN, obtaining a 3GPP identifier related to a user terminal that is attached to the Wi-Fi RAN and an identifier for an AP of the Wi-Fi RAN to which the terminal is attached. The method further comprises, at the entity, generating and sending a Location Service Request including the 3GPP identifier to a Location Services (LCS) Server associated with the 3GPP RAN, receiving a Location Service Response from the LCS Server that includes information identifying a cell of the 3GPP RAN in which the user terminal is located, and causing storage of an association between the identified Wi-Fi AP and the identified 3GPP cell.

The UE (20) comprises a communication interface (22) arranged for wireless communication, a processor (23) and a memory (24) for storing a software package comprising computer program code. When the software package is run in the processor (23) it causes the user equipment (20) to collect configuration data in form of a Public Land Mobile Network, PLMN, code and scan neighboring radio access nodes associated with the collected PLMN code for collecting configuration data in the form of broad casted System Information, SI, data. The UE (20) establishes a wireless communication link with the radio access node (10) and communicates the collected configuration data to the radio access node (10) over the established wireless communication link. Furthermore a corresponding method, computer programs and computer program products are disclosed.

The core network management device (32) then automatically orders, based on the request, network elements (10, 12, 14, 20, 22, 24) of an access network section (AN) of the wireless network (WN) to perform tracing regarding the wireless terminal (16) and ensures that the trace log data is sent to the destination trace log data handling device (26). A method and cell controlling node providing radio communication in a first cell of a communication network, for supporting management of the communication network based on performance related reports sent to a management system. Signal measurement reports are obtained from User Equipments being served by the first cell controlling node, on measurements on signals from cell controlling nodes in neighbouring cells. Based on the measurement reports, the cell controlling node identifies a neighbouring cell from which signals fulfill a signal condition. A current identity of the identified neighbouring cell is then selected as a cell cluster identity, in order to send performance related reports to the management system indicating the cell cluster identity. Cell cluster identity can be shared by cells forming a cell cluster of a specific area, and performance related reports can be more uniform regardless of which cell controlling nodes they are received from.
