    摘要: An electro-optical distance measuring system (1, 1′) for large measurement ranges having a para-axial arrangement of a beam source (2) with a transmitting optics (3) and a beam receiver, configured as at least one small-area photodiode (4), with an associated receiving optics (5), which contains the processes for signal extension for the lower distance measurement range for distances (X). The beam source (2), the transmitting optics (3), the small-area photodiode (4) and the receiving optics (5) are each oriented with their optical axes (A1, A2) parallel to the measurement light beam (6). The measurement light beam (6) is directed from the transmitting optics (2) to the measurement object and continues to the receiving optics. The beam source (2) and the small-area photodiode (4) are connected rigidly with each other by at least one rigidly connected circuit board (8, 8a, 8b), such that at least the small-area photodiode (4) can electrically conduct and temporarily adjust in a position (9, 9′) at least using its electrical contacts (10). The small-area photodiode (4) is fixed directly in the adjusted position (9, 9′) on the circuit board (8, 8a, 8b).

The instrument includes a housing, a measuring device which emits a laser beam and determines a distance value from the receiving beam coming from the target object, an outlet opening to couple out the laser beam from the housing, a display device to display the distance value and an operating device to operate the laser instrument and to start a distance measurement. The display and operating devices are arranged on an upper side of the housing. The outlet opening is arranged in the upper side, in the lower side opposite from the upper side or in a side surface of the housing.

The instrument includes a housing, where the housing has an outlet opening to couple out a laser beam from the laser instrument, a measuring device which emits a laser beam and determines a distance value from the receiving beam coming from the target object, a display device to display the distance value, an operating device to operate the laser instrument and to start the distance measurement, and an optical sighting device to align the laser beam on the target object. The direction in which a user looks into the optical sighting device is aligned parallel to the optical axis of the laser beam coupled out of the laser instrument via the outlet opening.

    摘要: A method of and an apparatus for an electro-optical distance measurement in which a laser beam of a laser diode (1) is directed as an intensity modulated train of emitted light pulses onto an object, the reflected measurement pulse train (10) is detected by a light detector (6), which generates, in response to the detection of a measurement pulse train, a first photo-current component, a smaller portion of the intensity modulated pulse train is branched out as a reference pulse train and, after passing a known reference path, is also detected by the light detector (6), which generates in response to this detection a second photo current component, and the light detector converts the measurement pulses, together with a mixer pulse train generated by a local oscillator, into a comparatively low-frequency IF-region that determines, after a corresponding conversion, the measured distance.
