摘要: To improve the distance measurement accuracy in a light receiving element that performs distance measurement on the basis of a light reception timing of reflected light. A charging section (330) causes a constant current to flow between any one terminal of a cathode and an anode of an avalanche photodiode (340) and a predetermined voltage. A source of a source follower transistor (320) is connected to the one terminal of the avalanche photodiode (340). A logic gate (350) outputs an output signal on the basis of a comparison result between a voltage of the one terminal of the avalanche photodiode (340) and a predetermined reference voltage. A source follower cut-off switch (310) opens and closes a path between a drain of the source follower transistor (320) and the predetermined voltage on the basis of the output signal.

摘要: A light ranging system including a shaft having a longitudinal axis; a light ranging device configured to rotate about the longitudinal axis of the shaft, the light ranging device including a light source configured to transmit light pulses to objects in a surrounding environment, and detector circuitry configured to detect reflected portions of the light pulses that are reflected from the objects in the surrounding environment and to compute ranging data based on the reflected portion of the light pulses; a base subsystem that does not rotate about the shaft; and an optical communications subsystem configured to provide an optical communications channel between the base subsystem and the light ranging device, the optical communications subsystem including one or more turret optical communication components connected to the detector circuitry and one or more base optical communication components connected to the base subsystem.

摘要: A solid state LIDAR transmitter with matrix-addressable laser drive circuit includes a first electrical bus that provides a first voltage potential to columns of the matrix-addressable laser drive circuit and a second electrical bus that provide a second voltage potential to rows of the matrix-addressable laser drive circuit. A plurality of column switches connects the plurality of columns to the first electrical bus. A plurality of row switches connects the plurality of rows to the second electrical bus. The transmitter includes a plurality of series connected diodes comprising a laser diode in series with another diode, where a respective one of the plurality of series connected diodes is electrically connected between a respective column and row of the matrix-addressable laser drive circuit to form the LIDAR transmitter. At least some of the second diodes increasing an overall reverse breakdown voltage of the series connected diodes.

摘要: There is provided a distance measurement system in which a plurality of distance measurement sensors are installed to detect an object in a measurement area, the system including: a detection intensity distribution display device that performs quantification according to light intensities of light which reaches the object after being emitted from the distance measurement sensors, or point cloud numbers, and displays colors or lights and shades according to magnitudes of numerical values to perform visualization and a display. The detection intensity distribution display device regards a space in front of the distance measurement sensors as one cube, divides the cube into a plurality of small cubes (voxels), and quantifies a detection intensity according to the light intensity of the light that reaches each of the voxels after being emitted from the distance measurement sensors, or the point cloud number of each of the voxels.

摘要: A method implemented in a processing unit controlling a surveying instrument is provided. The method comprises obtaining a first set of data from optical tracking of a target with the surveying instrument, and identifying from the first set of data a dependence over time of at least one parameter representative of movements of the target. The method further comprises receiving a second set of data from a sensor unit via a communication channel, the second set of data including information about the at least one parameter over time, and determining whether a movement pattern for the optically tracked target as defined by the dependence over time of the at least one parameter is the same as, or deviates by a predetermined interval from, a movement pattern as defined by the dependence over time of the at least one parameter obtained from the second set of data.

Some imagers can be passive imagers that include a light detection system for receiving ambient light from a field. Some imagers can be active imagers that include a light emission system in addition to the light detection system. The light emission system can be configured to emit light into the field such that emitted light is reflected off surfaces of an object in the field and received by the light detection system. In some embodiments, the light detection system and/or the light emission system includes micro-optic components for improving operational performance.
