    摘要: A method of producing a fine TiC particle-dispersing type Al—Sn based aluminum alloy includes the steps of: preparing either Al mother-alloy or metallic raw materials of the Al alloy and a green compact, in which TiC is dispersed; melting the Al mother-alloy or the metallic raw materials of the Al alloy to form an Al alloy melt; bringing the Al alloy melt and the green compact, in which TiC is dispersed, into contact with one another, thereby dispersing the TiC in the Al-alloy melt; casting the Al alloy melt, in which TiC is dispersed, into an aluminum-alloy ingot, in which TiC is dispersed; and rolling the aluminum-alloy ingot.

    摘要: In a hollow valve for an internal combustion engine, including a stem portion, an umbrella portion provided at one end of the stem portion, a gastight cavity that communicates the interior of the stem portion with that of the umbrella portion, and a coolant contained in the cavity, the umbrella portion has a wall portion (a lower cap) having a combustion-chamber-side wall that forms a part of a wall of a combustion chamber of the engine, and a cavity-side wall that forms a part of a wall of the cavity, and at least one high-thermal-conductivity member is provided on the cavity-side wall, for conduction of heat between the wall portion and one of at least the coolant and the stem portion as a heat-conduction medium.

    摘要: In sliding bearing, wherein an overlay, which consists of at least one solid lubricant and a binder resin, covers an aluminum-alloy bearing layer bonded on backing metal, the overlay consists of an upper layer, which contains the solid lubricant essentially consisting of MoS2, and a lower layer, which contains one or both of solid lubricant and hard additive. The solid lubricant of the lower layer is MoS2 and its content is relatively lower than in the upper layer.
