A multiplicity of swirl-forming protrusions are formed on at least on one of the bottom and the ceiling of the valve head cavity (S1) in such a way that swirl flows (F20, F30) of coolant are generated by the protrusions in the valve head cavity (S1) during reciprocal motions of the valve to thereby stir the coolant in the circumferential direction of the cavity (S1).

The semi-finished product is subjected to heat treatment such that the hardness thereof is equal to or less than a predetermined hardness, and the maximum thickness between the hollow shaft and an umbrella portion connected to the bottom edge of the hollow shaft is formed to be thicker than the thickness of the hollow shaft by means of a molding hole of a die which is adjusted to have a specific length and maximum inner diameter.
