    摘要： The multicast communication scheme which can enable a user to easily comprehend the multicast groups existing on the network, easily carry out an operation to join a desired multicast group, and easily specify a desired communication quality. At each user terminal, a virtual space with a plurality of regions defined therein in correspondence to a plurality of multicast groups is displayed on a screen, while an information indicating a range of each region in the virtual space is stored in correspondence to an address information for a corresponding multicast group. A desired position in the virtual space on the screen is specified by an input device, and joining/leaving to/from multicast groups is controlled by using the address information stored in correspondence to a region in the virtual space which contains the desired position. The display on the screen may include a plurality of zones defined within each region in correspondence to a plurality of different communication qualities, so that a communication quality of a multicast communication to be received can be controlled according to a zone within a region in the virtual space which contains the desired position.

    摘要： According to an embodiment, a data converting device is connected to a power meter configured to add up power consumptions of electrical equipment. The device includes a receiving unit configured to receive power consumptions per predetermined unit time added up by the power meter; and a calculating unit configured to calculate a second sequence to be stored as added up power consumptions in a storage unit from a first sequence containing the power consumptions per unit time received by the receiving unit in time series by using a conversion rule for converting a value of a second element in the second sequence based on a value of a first element in the first sequence. The second sequence has no privacy information and, the second sequence can be used for calculating a total value of the first sequence.

    摘要： According to one embodiment, an information processing apparatus, which is connected to an external apparatus, includes a device key storage unit, a creating unit, a calculating unit, a communication unit, and a key calculating unit. The device key storage unit stores therein a device key. The creating unit creates a media key from the device key and a media key block. The calculating unit calculates first output information on the basis of first inherent information inherent to the information processing apparatus and public information. The communication unit transmits the first output information to the external apparatus and receives second output information calculated by the external apparatus from the external apparatus. The key calculating unit calculates a shared key shared between the information processing apparatus and the external apparatus on the basis of the media key, the first inherent information, and the second output information.

The key selecting unit selects one of the plurality of first information items using a media key block process.     摘要： A communication apparatus receives, from another communication apparatus, a plurality of encrypted pieces obtained by encrypting a plurality of pieces constituting a part of a content and obtains a part or all of decryption keys used for decrypting the encrypted pieces. The communication apparatus also obtains an invalid piece list showing one or more identifiers of one or more encrypted pieces that can respectively be decrypted by using one or more decryption keys that have already been invalidated. In the case where at least one of the encrypted pieces is listed in the invalid piece list, the communication apparatus deletes the at least one of the encrypted pieces, based on an obtainment status of the encrypted pieces or an obtainment status of the decryption keys.

The communication apparatus transmits, to a key server, a request message for requesting decryption keys each being used for decrypting the one of the first encrypted piece and the second encrypted piece received for a different one of the pieces and the version management information of the file information used to obtain the one of the first encrypted piece and the second encrypted piece in correspondence with each of the pieces and receives the decryption keys.
