Abstract: A service provider may apply customer-selected or customer-defined auto-scaling policies to a cluster of resources (e.g., virtualized computing resource instances or storage resource instances in a MapReduce cluster). Different policies may be applied to different subsets of cluster resources (e.g., different instance groups containing nodes of different types or having different roles). Each policy may define an expression to be evaluated during execution of a distributed application, a scaling action to take if the expression evaluates true, and an amount by which capacity should be increased or decreased. The expression may be dependent on metrics emitted by the application, cluster, or resource instances by default, metrics defined by the client and emitted by the application, or metrics created through aggregation. Metric collection, aggregation and rules evaluation may be performed by a separate service or by cluster components. An API may support auto-scaling policy definition.

Abstract: Prior to initiating discovery of computing resources of an information technology (IT) infrastructure, an input query and a discovery job are received, and one or more trigger configuration items (CIs) are calculated. The input query specifies how the computing resources are discovered, and has a filter parameter. The discovery job is for the input query, has a job parameter, and is associated with a trigger query that is a subset of the input query. The trigger CIs are calculated based on the trigger query, such that the filter parameter of the input query is replaced with the job parameter in the trigger CIs. Discovery of the computing resources is initiated by dispatching each trigger CI. As discovery of the computing resources occurs, CIs representing the computing resources matching the trigger CIs are received, and the CIs are populated within a configuration management database (CMDB).

Abstract: Disclosed are examples of systems, apparatus, devices, computer program products, and methods implementing aspects of a decentralized content fabric. In some implementations, one or more processors are configured to provide fabric nodes of an overlay network, including one or more fabric nodes that receive a client’s request to access digital content on the overlay network. The request includes an authorization token digitally signed by or on behalf of a user of the client. The fabric node(s) extract a user identifier (ID) from the authorization token, then determine that one or more rules maintained on the overlay network are satisfied. The one or more rules condition access to the digital content upon the extracted user ID matching an ID associated with an owner of a digital instrument. The digital instrument, which can be a non-fungible token, is stored in a blockchain ledger as a unique representation of the digital content.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for determining whether to perform transmissions or receptions. A method for a user equipment (UE) to determine whether to perform the transmissions includes receiving a n for a search space set for receptions of physical downlink control channels (PDCCHs) according to a common search space (CSS) and receiving a PDCCH that includes a downlink control information (DCI) format. The method includes determining a set of time resources and a set of frequency resources based on an indication in the DCI format and canceling a transmission of a sounding reference signal (SRS) in time resources from the set of time resources based on determining that the SRS transmission would include frequency resources from the set of frequency resources. The method includes transmitting a physical uplink control channel in time resources from the set of time resources and in frequency resources from the set of frequency resources.

Abstract: The predictive overlay network architecture of the present invention improves the performance of applications distributing digital content among nodes of an underlying network such as the Internet by establishing and reconfiguring overlay network topologies over which associated content items are distributed. The present invention addresses not only frequently changing network congestion, but also interdependencies among nodes and links of prospective overlay network topologies. The present invention provides a prediction engine that monitors metrics and predicts the relay capacity of individual nodes and links (as well as demand of destination nodes) over time to reflect the extent to which the relaying of content among the nodes of an overlay network will be impacted by (current or future) underlying network congestion. The present invention further provides a topology selector that addresses node and link interdependencies while redistributing excess capacity to determine an overlay network topology that satisfies application-specific performance criteria.

Abstract: A first communication device transmits, to a second communication device, a first indication indicating a configuration enabling the first communication device to receive a partial modification of resources. The first communication device receives, from the second communication device, a second indication indicating a partial update, in time, associated with a resource and a value of a part of the resource. The first communication device further maintains an internal value of the part of the resource based on the second indication.

Abstract: Updated radio protocol data may be propagated in a peer-to-peer (P2P) distribution scheme so that peer devices that are incompatible with a particular radio protocol may be dynamically re-configured to communicate with other devices using the particular radio protocol. A remote server(s) may push updated radio protocol data to a hub device, which thereafter disseminates the radio protocol data to other peer devices. These peer devices can forward the data to downstream peer devices, and so on, without further intervention by the remote server(s) that initiated the distribution. The transfer of radio protocol data over P2P connections may occur using a broadcasting technique where, prior to the transfer, a device in possession of the radio protocol data broadcasts an indication to nearby peer devices, which can receive the broadcast and indicate to the broadcaster whether they are ready to receive the radio protocol data.
