    摘要: Thermal transfer recording media which make it possible to provide a highly sharpness and clear image even in case of printing on non-coated paper at a high speed and to improve the rub resistance of a printed area after the completion of printing. The present invention provides a thermal transfer recording medium comprising of a base material and a peel layer including a wax (A) and an ink layer including a styrene resin (B), a binder component (C) and a coloring component (D) laminated successively on the base material, wherein the wax (A) is compatible with the styrene resin (B). In the present invention, it is preferable that the weight ratio of the styrene resin (B) to the binder component (C) preferably ranges from 10:90 to 50:50.

    摘要: A new and improved thermal printing ink ribbon includes a heat-resistant base, a release layer disposed on the base including an ester wax and a rubber copolymer containing a specified aromatic monomer content and an ink layer disposed on the release layer by a solvent or hot-solvent process. The thermal printing ink ribbons exhibit satisfactory transferability even during high speed printing or after high temperature storage. The thermal printing ink ribbons are well suited for use in end face head-type printers.

    摘要: A thermal transfer recording medium where a fusion thermal ink layer is formed on one side of a support and a heat-resistant sliding layer is formed on the other side of the support. The heat-resistant sliding layer is comprised of silicone copolymer having functional groups and isocyanate compound, and the ratio of the silicone copolymer having functional groups to isocyanate compound is within a range of 70:30 to 50:50 by weight. It is preferred that the functional groups include carboxyl groups and the silicone copolymer include polyorganosiloxane graft polymer whose main chain is vinyl copolymer. In addition, the amount of silicon in the silicone copolymer is within a range of 30 to 50%, the acid value of the silicone copolymer is within a range of 50 to 70 mg/KOH. On the other hand, polyisocyanate having three or more functional groups is used for the isocyanate compound; for example, an adduct of xylylene di-isocyanate having two functional groups and trimethylolpropane is used.
