The present invention has been accomplished to provide an earth nut which has an excellent grounding performance, and which is free from the possibility of losing a grounding function even upon application of a high axial force and is low in cost, said earth nut comprises a flanged nut having a flange, which is formed at a lower end of a nut body to be integral with the nut body, a plurality of projections formed at a lower portion of the flange near an outer peripheral edge of the flange for cutting and peeling off a coating film on a seat surface, with which a bottom surface of the nut contacts, and a plurality of longitudinal grooves provided on screw threads of a female thread portion of the nut body to extend axially of the nut body and having edges on one sides of lines of intersection of the screw threads of the female thread portion of the nut and the longitudinal grooves to peel off a coating film adhered to screw threads of a bolt, onto which the nut are screwed.

The invention relates to a spool valve having an inner hybrid construction and a method of manufacturing the same, and the spool valve comprising sliding surface portions and grooves, the sliding surface portions and the grooves being arranged alternately adjacent to each other in a longitudinal direction of the spool valve, the sliding surface portions being formed by sliding members, which are provided on a base portion of a synthetic resin to be fitted thereon.

A holding device for use in assembling mechanical members comprises a joint head having a spherical head and a fastener formed continuous with the spherical head; and a clip having a joint cavity member formed of an elastic material, the joint cavity member having a groove portion having a cross-section corresponding in shape to an external shape of the spherical head, and receiving lip portions formed continuous with the groove portion, the receiving lip portions spreading outward, and a fastener formed continuous with the joint cavity member. The spherical head of the joint can be fitted in the groove portion to be held therein, whereby a member which is fastened to the fastener of the joint head and a member which is fastened to the fastener of the clip can be preliminarily held to each other. The invention provides the preliminarily-holding device for use in assembling mechanical members, which is capable of causing a part (e.g. a bumper of an automotive vehicle) having destortion in its formed shape to be preliminarily held onto a body (e.g. of the vehicle) having dimensional or positional errors in assembly, while absorbing deviations in the positional relationship between the part and body to be assembled.

A holder for a window glass of a vehicle which has a reduced number of parts, which can make the mounting operation simpler, thereby lowering costs, and which can prevent the window glass from having play or loosening. The holder comprises a nut and a bolt. The nut has a female screw sleeve portion which is to be inserted with a clearance into a mounting hole formed in the window glass, and a holding plate member radially outwardly extending from the sleeve portion. The bolt has a screw shaft member to be screwed into the female screw sleeve portion, and a holding plate member radially outwardly extending from the screw shaft member. In addition, a cushion layer made of a synthetic thermoplastic resin elastomer is attached to the inside surface of each holding plate member. The cushion layer is provided at its inner circumferential edge with a short sleeve portion for protecting an edge of the mounting hole of the window glass.

A fastening position adjustable bolt is provided which includes a bolt body and a cylindrically shaped collar bolt. The bolt body has a head, a shank, and first male threads formed on a lower outer peripheral surface of the shank, and the collar bolt has second male threads formed on an upper outer peripheral surface thereof. An engaging portion engages the shank of the bolt body with the collar bolt. The engaging portion is disposed between the head of the bolt body and a position on the shank at which the first male threads are formed, and the engaging portion is adapted to release engagement between the collar bolt and the shank of the bolt body upon application of a torque having at least a predetermined value.

A grommet for automatic insertion into a mounting hole in a panel by a robot including a head portion 1 having a longitudinal bore for receiving a screw through its center, a bottom portion 3 including a stepped portion 7 elastically engaging the robot arm located within the longitudinal bore; and locking claws 4 attached to the grommet which reflect during insertion of the grommet into the mounting hole and then spring snap into engagement when the locking claws 4 clear the mounting hole, such that the force required to disengage the robot arm 5 from the stepped portion 7 is less than the force required to extract the grommet from the panel, which enables the robot to easily determine whether or not the grommet is accurately inserted into the mounting hole.
