Abstract:
A saddle riding type vehicle includes a stabilizer arranged to support a pair of wheels arranged at opposite sides of a vehicle body to be movable up and down relative to the vehicle body, and a switching mechanism arranged to switch between a movable state in which the pair of wheels are permitted to move up and down and a locked state in which the pair of wheels are restricted from moving up and down. The switching mechanism includes a coupling pin member arranged to engage with the stabilizer to set the stabilizer to the locked state thereby restricting rotation of the stabilizer relative to the vehicle body, and to disengage from the stabilizer to set the stabilizer to the movable state thereby permitting rotation of the stabilizer relative to the vehicle body, and a solenoid fixed to the vehicle body and arranged to drive the coupling pin member into and out of engagement with the stabilizer. When the switching mechanism switches to the locked state, the vehicle can be parked and stored conveniently with the vehicle body standing unassisted.

Abstract:
A focus servo method used in an optical disc drive which is capable of accurately recording data to an optical disc just after starting recording of data to the optical disc is provided. The method includes a step of detecting a command signal for recording data to an optical disc; adding a predetermined amount of an offset component to a focus error signal for displacing an objective lens to a proper position for recording the data to the optical disc; starting recording the data to the optical disc after the offset component has been added; and decreasing the amount of the added offset component from the focus error signal after staring the recording of the data to the optical disc. The detecting step and the adding step are sequentially carried out in a region indicated by “B” in FIG. 1 and the step of starting recording of data and the step of decreasing the offset are sequentially carried out in a region indicated by “C” in FIG. 1. These steps are carried out based on a control program in a control section for controlling the position of the objective lens.
Abstract:
Upon calculating a FEM model of a new model vehicle as a structure to be analyzed using that of an existing vehicle as a prototype structure, a computer sets a plurality of corresponding reference points on the outline of the new model vehicle and the FEM model of the existing vehicle, changes a mesh model included in the FEM model of the existing vehicle to the outer shape of the new model vehicle on the basis of that mesh model and the correspondence between these reference points, and merges additional information contained in the FEM model of the existing vehicle and its associated state with respect to the deformed mesh model, thus calculating the FEM model of the new model vehicle.
Abstract:
The present invention has been accomplished to provide an earth nut which has an excellent grounding performance, and which is free from the possibility of losing a grounding function even upon application of a high axial force and is low in cost, said earth nut comprises a flanged nut having a flange, which is formed at a lower end of a nut body to be integral with the nut body, a plurality of projections formed at a lower portion of the flange near an outer peripheral edge of the flange for cutting and peeling off a coating film on a seat surface, with which a bottom surface of the nut contacts, and a plurality of longitudinal grooves provided on screw threads of a female thread portion of the nut body to extend axially of the nut body and having edges on one sides of lines of intersection of the screw threads of the female thread portion of the nut and the longitudinal grooves to peel off a coating film adhered to screw threads of a bolt, onto which the nut are screwed.
Abstract:
An optical disk writing device includes an optical disk drive recording data into an optical disk and having no harddisk as a data buffer, and a host; computer controlling the optical disk drive and transferring the data to the optical disk drive by using a data storage connected to the host computer as a data buffer for the transferring and the recording.
Abstract:
A container used for containing powders such as a washing powder and the like has bottom stopper means for fixedly supporting another container when another container is inserted into the container. When a lot of containers are stored before containing contents therein, many can be stacked on top of one another. With these containers, the space needed for storing can be reduced.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for producing semiconductor devices in which a semiconductor wafer is adhered to an ultraviolet sensitive tape, the adhesion force of which decreases upon irradiation with ultraviolet rays, the ultraviolet sensitive tape being adhered to a ring frame so that the semiconductor wafer is fixed to the ring frame with the ultraviolet sensitive tape. Successive semiconductor wafers thus fixed to respective ring frames are subjected to a series of steps including dicing, breaking, and ultraviolet irradiation for reducing the adhesiveness of the ultraviolet tape. The semiconductor wafer, broken and divided in dice and held by the ultraviolet sensitive tape with reduced adhesiveness, is sent to a next step, such as a die-bonding step.
Abstract:
An improved trim tab actuator for an outboard drive for assisting in steering by creating a hydrodynamic steering force immediately upon sensing of a steering input force. The mechanism includes an operator control that permits the operator to select from any of a plurality of preset maps for achieving the optimum trim tab condition.
Abstract:
An optical transmitting and/or receiving module comprises an optical plug comprising a housing which is provided with at least one ferrule assembly having an optical fiber therein, a main receptacle body connected to the optical plug, and an optical link assembly comprising a substrate. The substrate has at least one optical semiconductor element and circuit elements for signal processing fixed thereon. The optical link assembly is fixed to the main receptacle body so that the at least one optical semiconductor element opposes a tip end of the optical fiber of the optical plug and a surface of the substrate is perpendicular to an optical axis of the optical fiber.
