摘要： When a thermosetting composition comprising(A) a resin having hydroxyl group,(B) a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing polymer,(C) a hydrolyzable silicon compound and(D) a curing catalyst is used, coating materials having no problem as to bad-smelling can be obtained and the coating films formed therefrom are improved in physical properties such as adhesion, solvent resistance and hardness.

摘要： A one component composition suitable for use as coatings which are excellent in storage stability and coating workability, which comprises:(A) an acrylic resin having hydroxyl group,(B) an alkoxysilyl group-containing acrylic copolymer having a group represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group, an aryl group and an aralkyl group, and a is 0, 1 or 2,(C) a curing catalyst, andat least one member selected from the group consisting of (D) a dehydrating agent and (E) an alkyl alcohol.

摘要： A coating composition containing (A) a silyl group-containing vinyl polymer which has on the polymer chain ends or side chain thereof at least one silicon atom, to which a hydrolyzable group is linked, per polymer molecule, (B) a reaction product of an aminosilane compound with an epoxy compound (C) a hydrolyzable ester compound and (D) an inorganic pigment. The coating composition of the present invention has excellent film properties such as appearance, moisture resistance and grindability and is suitable for use as an undercoating and a primer coating.

摘要： A curable topcoat composition comprising (A) 100 to 30 parts by weight of a vinyl copolymer having a main chain substantially composed of a vinyl copolymer, having both at least one specific hydrolyzable silyl group and at least one hydroxyl group in its main chain end and/or side chain, and having a carbonato structure in its main chain and/or side chain, (B) 0.001 to 70 parts by weight of a hydroxyl group-containing compound having no hydrolyzable silyl group, and (C) a solvent, the total of the components (A) and (B) being 100 parts by weight. The coating films formed from the curable composition are excellent in acid resistance, scratch resistance, appearance and thermosetting property and, in particular, the composition can be suitably used as a top coat for automobiles.
