摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the polymerization of acrylonitrile or a monomer mixture containing acrylonitrile as a main component and at least one other ethylenically unsaturated compound, characterized in that the polymerization is conducted at a temperature above 120.degree. C. under a pressure above the vapor pressure generated in the polymerization system under the polymerization conditions in a system in which water is present in a range of 3 to 50 percent by weight based on the total weight of the monomer(s) and water to produce an acrylonitrile polymer in a substantially molten state. The polymers produced according to the above process have the advantage of being able to be directly shaped by extrusion without the need of solvents.

摘要: In a process for producing an acrylonitrile polymer melt in a substantially melted state by polymerizing a monomer mixture containing acrylonitrile in the presence of water at elevated temperature under increased pressure, the polymerization is carried out continuously using a persulfate as the polymerization initiator and under a particular forced stirring as defined in the specification. This process effectively suppresses runaway polymerization reaction, facilitates the melting of the resulting polymer, and in addition produces in an industrially advantageous manner a melt of an acrylonitrile polymer having a moderate molecular weight.

摘要: A process for producing a synthetic rush-like structure which comprises causing an acrylonitrile polymer composition in a substantially melted state (Polymer A or B or C) to flow down towards a spinning orifice; adjusting the pressure of the system in which the melt just before the orifice is present to within a specific range; extruding the melt to form a foamed product; and subjecting the foamed extrudate to heat treatment, thereby obtaining a synthetic rush-like structure resembling the natural rush plant in outer skin structure and internal structure and having excellent sensory and practical properties.

摘要: Provided is an ink including water, and an organic solvent, wherein a dried product of the ink has an endothermic peak temperature Tm of 22° C. or higher but 74° C. or lower as measured by differential scanning calorimetry, the differential scanning calorimetry includes first heating, cooling, and second heating, where the first heating is heating the dried product of the ink from −60° C. to 140° C. at a heating rate of 10° C./min, the cooling, which is performed after the first heating, is cooling a heated product obtained in the first heating from 140° C. to −60° C. at a cooling rate of −10° C./min, and the second heating, which is performed after the cooling, is heating a cooled product obtained in the cooling from −60° C. to 140° C. at a heating rate of 10° C./min, and the endothermic peak temperature Tm is an endothermic peak temperature in the second heating.

摘要: A bead-like glycidyl (meth)acrylate polymer is produced by aqueous suspension polymerization of glycidyl (meth)acrylate alone or a monomer mixture composed of more than 50 weight % of said monomer and at least one other monomer which forms the remainder, in the presence of a specific aqueous polymer, at a pH of from 2 to 9 and at a stirring speed of from 50 to 500 r.p.m. By heat treating said bead-like polymer at a pH below 3 and at a temperature above 70.degree. C., hydroxyl groups resulting from the ring opening of the epoxy groups are introduced, whereby a solvent-insoluble bead-like polymer having a gel water content not less than 30% is produced.

摘要: Hard polyvinyl alcohol gel is produced by copolymerizing a carboxylic acid vinyl ester monomer with a particular cross-linking agent and then saponifying the copolymer. This hard polyvinyl alcohol gel has excellent mechanical strength and separation ability and has no problem in copolymerizability and polymerization speed. Moreover, it shows no change in cross-linked structure before and after saponification.

摘要: In the suspension polymerization of acrylonitrile in an aqueous medium, the polymerization is conducted in the presence of a water-soluble polymer and an oil soluble radical initiator while maintaining the acrylonitrile concentration higher than 9 weight percent in the polymerization system, whereby the polymerization of acrylonitrile in the water phase is suppressed and a high molecular weight polymer (weight average molecular weight not less than 400,000) having uniform particle diameters is produced.
