    摘要： A color printing apparatus includes a printer driver for receiving a print instruction of print data issued from an application program, and for rasterizing the print data to produce con-tone/multi-bits bitmap data and bi-tone/single-bit bitmap data; a page memory for independently storing thereinto both the con-tone/multi-bits bitmap data and the bi-tone/single-bit bitmap data; a control unit for executing a control operation in such a manner that the con-tone/multi-bits bitmap data is converted into con-tone/multi-bits print data, the bi-tone/single-bit bitmap data is converted into bi-tone/single-bit print data, and at least one of the con-tone/multi-bits print data-and the bi-tone/single-bit print data is stored into the page memory in a bitmap format; and an output control unit for reading at least any one of the con-tone/multi-bits print data and the bi-tone/single-bit print data from the page memory, and for logically synthesizing the print data with each other to output the synthesized print data to a color printing unit, reducing the data amount of the bitmap data.

    摘要： A printing control system includes a drawing unit, a block data generating unit and a controlling unit. The drawing unit sets a drawing region in which a region of an original image falls, and draws the original image in the drawing region so that a center of the region of the original image is in coincidence with a center of the drawing region. The block data generating unit divides the drawing region into a plurality of blocks, each block having a size and shape identical to one another, and generates block data representative of the plurality of blocks. The controlling unit performs an image processing on a block data basis to generate print data. The image processing includes a rotating processing for rotating each block.

A range of the expanded pixel signal output from the gradation correction unit is matched with a range of the expanded threshold value. The output pixel signal is set according to a comparison of the expanded pixel signal with the expanded threshold value corresponding to the threshold value that is selected for each input pixel signal.

    摘要： An image processing apparatus for compressing and decompressing image data is disclosed that is capable of image processing with a small memory area. The image processing apparatus includes a compression unit to compress the image data to a predetermined compression format; an omission secondary compression unit to omit a portion of the compressed image data given by the compression unit, divide the compressed image data into blocks having predetermined block sizes, and perform secondary compression to generate omission secondary compression image data; a data recovery unit to recover the omission secondary compression image data into the compressed image data; an image rotation unit to rotate the compressed image data decompressed by the data decompression unit according to the block sizes; a block storage unit to store the rotated compressed image data in units of the block sizes; and a data decompression unit to decompress the compressed image data stored in the block storage unit according to predetermined conditions.

The print application patterns and the standard patterns are associated with each other. When printing document data, print condition data and render data are spooled by each page, the standard print conditions and the standard render data are compared, and a most similar standard pattern is detected. The print application pattern corresponding to the detected standard pattern is referred to, and print conditions are generated by combining standard print conditions and print conditions of the document data for each page. From the render data of the document data or from the standard render data, print data that can be processed by the printer is generated.
