摘要: A steel plate splicing facility includes, a steel plate heating apparatus for retrieving and heating a preceding steel plate and a following steel plate, and a shear-joining apparatus for clamping a tail end portion of the preceding steel plate and a leading end portion of the following steel plate in an overlapping condition by a die and a clamp and shearing them with a punch, such that surfaces of the tail end portion and the leading end portion are newly formed and brought in contact with each other in order to them. The shear-joining apparatus joins the preceding and following steel plates at a temperature equal to or higher than 350° C. and at a percentage clearance c/t equal to or lower than 5%, c/t being defined by c/t=D/(t1+t2)×100 where D represents a distance between the punch and the die, and t1 and t2 represent a thickness of respective steel plates.

摘要: A drum type shear includes a pair of rotatable drums, each drum including a shearing blade. The circumferential velocity of the outer edge of a first blade is greater than the circumferential velocity of the outer edge of a second blade, such that upon rotation of the drums with a workpiece passing therebetween, after the workpiece has been initially bitten between the blades, shearing of the workpiece is completed while the outer edge of the first blade overtakes the outer edge of the second blade.

摘要: Stripping fingers for use in a copying machine, molded of a liquid crystal polyester resin composition containing a liquid crystal polyester having a flow temperature of 340.degree. C. or higher and aluminum borate whiskers. The stripping fingers have excellent heat deflection resistance, heat aging resistance, thermal shock resistance, heat load resistance, low attack on the counter roller, good shape retainability of the finger edges, and good non-stick property against toner. Coating with PFA at 330.degree. C. or higher on the stripping finger increases non-tackiness.

摘要: A secondary battery can prevent microscopic short circuit due to shedding of active material from an electrode and secure electric connection between the electrode and an electrode terminal. According to an example of means for preventing shedding of active material from a positive electrode 1 constituting a wound type electrode unit 7, a negative electrode side of a separator 3 is bent toward a center of the electrode unit 7. The negative electrode 2 having a flex substrate is provided with an electrode end portion 4′ with almost no active material. At least a part of the electrode end portion 4′ is exposed from the bent separator 3, and the exposed electrode end portion 4′ is electrically connected to a battery terminal or a battery case 8 directly or via a negative electrode collector plate 6.

摘要: A rolled metal strip which is free of torsion and on which a superior gloss is obtained by a combination of cross rolling and parallel rolling upon cold rolling a metal strip and by rolling the material in a parallel rolling manner in either at least the final stand (in the case of a tandem mill array) or at least the final pass (in the case of a single stand mill such as a reversible mill or the like). If necessary, the metal strip is preliminarily rolled by cross rolling at a rolling reduction rate of over 5% and then cold rolled by either parallel rolling or a combination of cross rolling and parallel rolling.
