摘要: A magnetic recording medium is described, comprising a support and a magnetic layer disposed thereon, said magnetic layer containing as its binder component a combination of at least one member of each of the following groups of compounds (1) to (3) that has been exposed to electron beams:(1) vinyl chloride type resin, vinyl acetate type resin, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate type resin, each containing from 5.times.10.sup.-5 to 2.times.10.sup.-3 equivalents of --CO.sub.2 H groups per gram of copolymer, and nitrocellulose resin;(2) urethane resins and urethane-acrylate oligomers; and(3) compounds containing an isocyanurate ring and at least two groups selected from acryloyl and methacryloyl groups.

摘要: A magnetic recording medium comprising a non-magnetic support having thereon an electron-beam radiation-cured magnetic recording layer, said magnetic layer comprising a ferromagnetic oxide and a binder comprising(1) a resin selected from the group consisting of a vinyl resin containing a carboxylic group in an amount of about 5.times.10.sup.-5 to 2.times.10.sup.-3 equivalent per gram and a nitrocellulose resin;(2) an urethane resin having at least one terminal acrylate group in the main chain or in a side chain of the molecule; and(3) a compound having at least one acryloyl group which is obtained by modifying the isocyanate group of a polyisocyanate having at least two isocyanate groups per molecule.

摘要: The present invention relates to a magnetic recording medium prepared by the process comprising (1) coating a magnetic coating composition mainly containing ferromagnetic particles and a binder on a support and (2) irradiating the resulting support with electron beams, wherein the binder contains a compound represented by the following formula, ##STR1## wherein A represents a radical of a hydroxy compound containing at least one isocyanurate ring and at least one (meth)acryloyl group; DI represents a radical of an organic diisocyanate compound; B represents a radical of a polyol having at least two hydroxy groups; C represents a radical of a polybasic acid having at least two carboxy groups; m is a number of 1 to 7; and N is a positive number of 7 or less.

摘要: A magnetic recording medium comprising a support having coated thereon a magnetic layer is disclosed. The magnetic layer contains, as a binder, a composition cured with electron beam comprising (a) at least one of vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate type resins containing 5.times.10.sup.-5 to 1.7.times.10.sup.-3 equivalents of a carboxyl group per gram of the polymer and introcellulose resins, (b) a urethane resin and (c) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of aromatic or alicyclic compounds containing at least two vinyl linkages in the molecule and acryloyl-modified polyisocyanate compounds. The magnetic recording medium has excellent electromagnetic properties and durability.

摘要: There is provided a magnetic recording material which comprises a support and a magnetic layer coated thereon. The magnetic layer contains as its binder, a combination of at least one vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-based copolymer characterized by its --CO.sub.2 H content or cellulose dinitrate, at least one urethane acrylate having a particular chemical structure, and at least one low molecular weight compound having two or more acryloyl or methacryloyl groups. The magnetic layer is hardened by beam irradiation. Thus, marked increase in dispersibility of ferromagnetic powders, improvement in electromagnetic transformation characteristics and sharp increase in durability are attained.

摘要: A magnetic recording medium comprised of a support base having a magnetic recording provided thereon is disclosed. The recording layer is comprised of ferromagnetic particles dispersed in a binder. The binder includes (1) a vinyl chloride-vinyl alkanoate type copolymer containing --CO.sub.2 H group of 5.times.10.sup.-5 to 1.7.times.10.sup.-3 equivalent per g of the polymer, (2) urethane acrylate having a molecular weight in the range of from 20,000 to 300,000, and (3) a compound having at least two (meth)acryloyl groups in the molecule and having a molecular weight of 600 or less. The magnetic recording layer is irradiated with electron beams in order to harden the binder. The resulting medium has excellent electromagnetic properties and the magnetic coating composition prepared for making the magnetic recording layer has excellent stability during storage.

摘要: A magnetic recording medium is disclosed, which comprises a non-magnetic support having a surface roughness of not less than 0.01 .mu.m having thereon an intermediate layer and a magnetic layer, the intermediate layer comprising a polyester polyol having at least two acryloyl and/or methacryloyl groups in the molecule thereof, which has been polymerization-hardened by exposure to radiation. The magnetic recording medium has markedly improved video sensitivity, C/N ratio and adhesiveness between the support and the magnetic layer.

摘要: There is provided a magnetic recording material produced by coating on a support a magnetic coating composition which contains as main components a magnetic powder and a binder, the binder comprising an urethane acrylate synthesized using a polyester polyol having a particular structure, and by irradiating the resulting magnetic coat with electron beams to harden it. The polyester polyol contains polyhydric alcohol component, 50 mole % or more of which is a dihydric alcohol selected from the class (A) described below, and/or polybasic acid component, 50 mole % or more of which is a dibasic acid selected from the class (B) described below. The urethane acrylate is synthesized under such a condition that it may have two or more of (meth)acryloyl groups per molecule. Thus, improvements in electromagnetic properties and in durability are attained.Class (A): Alkyl-substituted aliphatic dihydric alcohols, alicyclic dihydric alcohols, and dihydric alcohols made by addition of alkylene oxides to alicyclic or aromatic dihydric alcohols.Class (B): Alicyclic dicarboxylic acids and aromatic dicarboxylic acids.

摘要: A magnetic recording medium has an improved protective film covering a thin magnetic metal thin film provided on a non-magnetic support. The protective film consists of a plurality of layers formed by plasma polymerization, the base layer of which has a density of 0.7 to 1.5 g/cm.sup.3 and the surface layer of which has a density of not less than 1.2 g/cm.sup.3. This magnetic recording medium has good scratch resistance, weather resistance and abrasion resistance in addition to extremely small spacing loss. The magnetic recording medium can be produced by plasma polymerization of a wide variety of monomeric compounds.
