    摘要: A method for placing a liquid material includes a) discharging the liquid material from a plurality of nozzles into a single region of a substrate during a scan of the substrate performed by a head having a nozzle group including the plurality of nozzles using a first electric pulse, and b) discharging the liquid material into the single region from the plurality of nozzles during the scan using a second electric pulse. The first and second electric pulses are supplied to a pressure controller to control pressure of a liquid chamber communicated with the plurality of nozzles so as to cause the plurality of nozzles to discharge the liquid material. The first and second discharge steps are performed by using the same plurality of nozzles during the same scan.

    摘要: In an ink jet apparatus for manufacturing a color filter 1, ink jet heads 22 having a plurality of nozzle 27 are disposed in a linear manner. Filter element member is ejected to a motherboard 12 from a plurality of nozzles 27 four times so as to form the filter element 3 in a predetermined thickness. By doing this, it is possible to prevent difference in the thickness in a plurality of the filter elements 3 and to equalize light transparency in planar manner. Thus, in an ejecting apparatus, a color filter can be formed in more common way at low cost and more efficiently. Also, it is possible to provide an ejecting apparatus which can equalize factors such as electrooptical characteristics of the electrooptical members, color displaying characteristics by the liquid crystal apparatuses, and illuminating characteristics by an EL surface.

    摘要: First internal electrode layers and second internal electrode layers are alternately laminated in a substrate while sandwiching piezoelectric layers therebetween. The first internal electrode layers are exposed to at least a first end face of the substrate, and the second internal electrode layers are exposed to at least a second end face of the substrate which is opposite to the first end face. A first external electrode layer is formed on the first end face and a third end face connecting the first end face and the second end face. The first external electrode layer is electrically connected to the first internal electrode layers. A second external electrode layer is formed on at least the second end face and the third end face. The second external electrode layer is electrically connected to the second internal electrode layers, and is electrically independent from the first external electrode layer. The first external electrode layer and the first internal electrode layers are to be divided by slits extending from the first end face to form a plurality of piezoelectric elements arrayed in a first direction. A part of the first external electrode layer and a part of the second external electrode layer are adjacent in the first direction on the third end face.

    摘要: A jetting head is provided with a nozzle orifice, a pressure chamber communicated with the nozzle orifice, and a piezoelectric element which is deformable to cause pressure fluctuation to liquid contained in the pressure chamber. A drive signal generator simultaneously generates a plurality of drive signals, each provided with waveform elements including at least one drive pulse in every unit jetting cycle. The drive pulse deforms the piezoelectric element to cause such pressure fluctuation as to eject a liquid droplet from the nozzle orifice. A switcher selectively supplies at least one of the waveform elements included in one of the drive signals to the piezoelectric element. A switch controller controls a selective supply operation of the switcher in accordance with amount data which indicates an amount of the liquid droplet to be ejected. A time period in which the drive pulse is generated in one of the drive signal and that in another one of the drive signals overlap at least partly.

    摘要: An ink jet printing device supplies first and second signals to cause a pressure generating chamber to jet out ink droplets. A third signal is applied to the pressure generating chamber to effectively attenuate the kinetic energy of the meniscus and to hold the meniscus at a position suitable for jetting out the next ink droplet to provide a stable print output. Also, an ink-jet recording apparatus is provided with a control means for controlling the timing of the start of the second signal and the timing of the start of the third signal according to the environmental temperature. In the ink-jet recording apparatus, the discharge speed of ink drops is made constant by regulating the start time of the second signal so as to make constant the drawing position of a meniscus when the ink drops are discharged. Further, the pressure generating chamber is expanded again by applying the third signal at the time the vibration of the meniscus generated by the discharge of the ink drops is moved closest to the pressure generating chamber, so that the kinetic energy of the meniscus moving to the nozzle can effectively be attenuated.
