Abstract:
A roof cover board made from a mixture of 30-60% stucco; 20-50% perlite; 10-30% cellulose fiber; 3-20% starch; and siloxane. Also disclosed is a stucco-free roof cover board made from a mixture of 30-60% perlite, 30-60% cellulose fiber, 5-25% starch; and siloxane. Also disclosed are methods for making same.
Abstract:
A water-resistant gypsum fiber product comprising siloxane and coated with a coating comprising alkali metal organosiliconate is provided. A method of making a gypsum fiber product in which siloxane is cross-linked at the surface of the product is also provided. A fuel-efficient method for making the product and reducing the amount of siloxane dust released is provided as well.
Abstract:
An improved water-resistant gypsum product prepared with a high-viscosity siloxane is provided. A fuel-efficient method for making the product and reducing the amount of siloxane dust released is provided as well.

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to no fiber calcined gypsum and methods of making the same using a multi-stage (typically two-stage) calcination process. The first stage is a high temperature calcination and nucleation stage. The second stage is a lower temperature calcination and crystal growth stage which produces product slurry containing calcined gypsum particles having large, acicular calcined gypsum crystal morphology for use in making gypsum fiberboard.
