For instance, the gypsum board comprises a gypsum core, a first facing material, and a second facing material wherein the first facing material and the second facing material sandwich the gypsum core. The gypsum core comprises a first gypsum core section and a second gypsum core section each comprising gypsum, wherein the first gypsum core section comprises a polyol compound and has a density higher than a density of the second gypsum core section.

摘要: An example plasterboard includes a layer of hardened plaster material having a first surface and an opposed second surface and a layer of molded material having a surface that faces away from the layer of hardened plaster material. The surface of the layer of molded material has one or more raised features. The plasterboard also includes a liner between the first surface of the layer of hardened plaster material and the layer of molded material. Other examples include a method of forming such plasterboards and a method for installing such plasterboards.

摘要: A plurality of set stabilizer particles including: a particle core including 50 to 98 wt. %, preferably 70 to 98 wt. % or 70 to 95 wt. %, calcium sulfate dihydrate and 0.05 to 10 wt. %, preferably 0.5 to 5 wt. %, hydrophobic material selected from wax and/or siloxane, and a coating on the particle core, the coating including a dehydration-preventing substance selected from sugars, dextrins, and polyhydroxy alcohols, such as glycerol or polyglycols, at a ratio of about 5 to 25 parts by weight of dehydration-preventing substance per 100 parts by weight of calcium sulfate dihydrate. Methods of making and using the set stabilizer particles are also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed are a composite gypsum board and a method of preparing composite gypsum board. The board contains a set gypsum core sandwiched between two cover sheets. The core is formed from a slurry containing stucco, water, and optional ingredients such as foaming agent, accelerator, retarder, polyphosphate, starch, and dispersant, and core intumescent material. The board also contains at least one skim coat and/or hard edges. A face skim coat layer can be included on one side of the core, facing a face cover sheet. A back skim coat layer can be included on the other side of the core, facing a back cover sheet. Hard edges are known in the art and can be formed, e.g., continuously from a stucco slurry for forming the face and/or back skim coats. Preferably, the back skim coat layer and/or the hard edges are formed from a slurry containing stucco, water, skim coat or edge intumescent material (which have the same desired characteristics), and other optional additives as desired. The skim coat or edge intumescent material can be composed of the same material as the core intumescent material, if desired, but the skim coat and/or edge intumescent material is present in a higher relative concentration in its respective slurry than the amount of core intumescent material in the core slurry. Examples of suitable intumescent materials include expandable vermiculite (e.g., No. 4 or No. 5 according to the US naming system, or combinations thereof), expandable graphite, perlite, or any combination thereof.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to plaster boards and methods for making them. For example, one aspect of the disclosure is a plaster board comprising one or more continuous layers of material disposed within a body of hardened plaster material, the first side and second side of each continuous layer of material being substantially covered by the hardened plaster material. In certain such embodiments, each continuous layer of material includes a polymer (e.g., a damping polymer) disposed on a carrier sheet. Another aspect of the disclosure relates to a method for making a plaster board that involves drying a wet body of plaster material while a continuous layer of material or precursor therefor is disposed within it.

摘要: A slurry distributor includes a feed conduit and a distribution conduit in fluid communication therewith. The feed conduit includes an entry segment with a feed inlet and a feed entry outlet in fluid communication therewith and extending along a first feed flow axis. The feed conduit includes a shaped duct having a bulb portion in fluid communication with the feed entry outlet. The feed conduit includes a transition segment in fluid communication with the bulb portion and extending along a second feed flow axis in non-parallel relationship with the first feed flow axis. The bulb portion has an area of expansion with a cross-sectional flow area that is greater than a cross-sectional flow area of an adjacent area upstream from the area of expansion. The shaped duct has a convex interior surface in confronting relationship with the feed entry outlet of the entry segment.

摘要: Embodiments of a system and a method for manufacturing a gypsum board can be used to produce a gypsum board having at least one perforated cover sheet via a cover sheet perforator system. The cover sheet perforator system can include a perforator roller is disposed downstream of a forming station along a machine direction, a roller support frame for rotatably supporting the perforator roller such that its rotational axis extends along the cross-machine direction, and a motor arranged with the perforator roller to rotate the perforator roller about the rotational axis. The drive motor can be adapted to rotate the perforator roller with a tangential speed substantially equal to the line speed to produce a series of perforation holes in an upwardly-facing cover sheet as the gypsum board moves past the perforator roller.
