摘要： Invention is a launcher mount for a plurality of a box-like missile cells mounted in replaceable clusters on each side of a compact turret. Cluster assemblies suitable for missile configurations of different types, sizes and weights may be quickly and simply mounted on and detached from the turret. The turret includes the azimuth and elevation drive and control mechanisms. These are externally mounted on the turret in easily accessible locations and are completely enclosed for protecting the functional components thereof. The launcher may be slewed in azimuth and elevation at fast rates so that missiles in the cells may be fired along a preferred trajectory at desired intervals. Individual cells are water and gas tight for protecting missiles therein from rocket blast effects and from adverse climatic conditions. When mounted on shipboard, the entire launcher may be positioned above deck in any desired location.

摘要： The invention relates to actuator mechanisms and particularly provides a shock-absorbing actuator apparatus comprised of an actuator piston buffered by liquid metered within a chamber of fixed volume. In a preferred structure of the invention, gas is externally metered against a first actuator piston in a chamber, this piston and chamber being independent of a buffer piston disposed within the first-mentioned chamber. The first-mentioned chamber has a liquid disposed therein which is internally metered about the buffer piston to cushion shock on the actuator structure.

摘要： The invention is a mounting capable of holding retracted missile fins and an umbilical electrical connector in a magazine-type launcher during long periods of storage and handling under adverse conditions without damage to the fins or connectors. The present mounting comprises a ''''wishbone'''' member having transversely extending yoke-like clips on each arm of the wishbone member, the clips holding the missile fins in a folded, retracted position prior to launch of the missile. The center of the wishbone member is pivoted at its center, the center thereof being the point of connection of the mounting to the launcher and being located at a point above the axis of the missile to minimize the effects of missile movement which act to ''''work'''' the fins in the clips and the electrical connector seated in the missile itself.
