    Abstract: A lighting system for a motor vehicle includes at least one lighting module capable of projecting lighting functions from image data, a control unit connected to the at least one lighting module by a data transmission channel and configured to generate a control image intended for the lighting module as a function of the optical features of the lighting module and of a setpoint datum. The lighting system also includes compression and decompression units to compress and decompress the image data while the data image travels between the control unit and the at least one lighting module.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for managing image data in a motor vehicle lighting system. The lighting system comprises at least one lighting module intended to project light beams generated on the basis of data relating to the selection of at least one image, each image being defined by a matrix containing a plurality of horizontal or vertical rows of pixels, wherein each pixel is characterized by a numerical value related to a light intensity of the pixel, said method determining whether the analyzed pixel is regarded as a significant inflection point of the image such that said analyzed pixel is transmitted to at least one lighting module so that same can project a resulting image. The invention also relates to a motor vehicle lighting system for carrying out the steps of a method of this kind.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a lighting module for a motor vehicle headlamp module including a light source able to emit light radiation, a processing device able to generate a light flux from said light radiation, and an imaging optical system able to project an exit beam from said light flux. The lighting module includes means for controlling an angular aperture of the exit beam, the angular aperture being chosen from a first aperture and a second aperture, the first aperture corresponding to a wider angle than the second aperture, so that, for a given intensity of the light radiation of the light source, the exit beam corresponding to the second aperture has a higher light intensity than the exit beam corresponding to the first aperture.

    Abstract: Method for controlling modules for projecting pixelated light beams of a host vehicle. The host vehicle includes a step of determining, using a control device and according to the collected data, a polynomial function which models the profile of the edge and the centre of the road, such that the road profile is modelled based on a polynomial function, the degree of which depends on the curvature of the road.
