Abstract: A wind turbine with a power converter system having a plurality of power modules each with a semiconductor component, such as IGBTs, and a temperature sensor arranged in thermal connection with the semiconductor component for generating a temperature signal according to a sensed temperature. A controller receives the temperature signals from the respective power modules, and the controller can shut down operation of the power converter system in case one or more of the temperature signals indicate a temperature exceeding a trip temperature threshold, wherein the controller is arranged to monitor at least one parameter and to update the trip temperature threshold accordingly.
