    Abstract: Example methods relating to maintain a quality of service of a cloud application are described. One example method includes monitoring a workload metric of a virtual machines which is running the cloud application, creating additional one or more virtual machines, isolating the additional one or more virtual machines, and determining whether the workload metric exceeds a threshold. In response to determining that the workload metric exceeds the threshold, the method includes deisolating the additional one or more virtual machines to support the cloud application. Otherwise, the method includes maintaining one or more virtual machines being isolated.

    Abstract: A method to migrate a cluster's hosts and virtual machines from virtual standard switches to a virtual distributed switch includes creating distributed port groups on the virtual distributed switch, where properties of the distributed port groups are automatically replicated to host proxy switches on the hosts. The method further includes configuring the distributed port group with ephemeral binding so port binding of the distributed port group is configurable through a host in the cluster even when an infrastructure virtual machine that manages the cluster is down, determining (or receiving user input indicating) the infrastructure virtual machine is on the host, and issuing a call to the host to migrate (1) the infrastructure virtual machine to the distributed port group and (2) one or more physical network interface cards of the host to the virtual distributed switch.

    Abstract: An example method to deploy a web client plugin in a virtualized computing environment may include obtaining information identifying a virtual machine at a management entity and generating configuration information that includes the information identifying the virtual machine. The method may further include registering, with the management entity, the configuration information to deploy the web client plugin as a web client extension. The registration is performed such that, in response to an access to the virtual machine via the web client plugin, the web client plugin is able to automatically identify the virtual machine based on the configuration information.
