In one embodiment of the present invention, an indication of a revision to loaded emulation code is received. Conditions for maintaining consistency are created. An ordered listing for providing an index correspondence to the emulation code is revised. The information from the listing is incorporated in the internal representation of the emulation code, such that a virtual machine implementing the loaded emulation code is not shut down.

The vertex, edge, and/or property graph elements of the subgraph are processed responsive to a predefined event that occurs on at least one of the vertex, edge, and/or property graph elements of the subgraph.
